No wonder talk show host Rosie O’Donnell is engaged! She proposed to her fiance Michelle Rounds with a $100,000, 4-carat sparkler.

O’Donnell, who shared the news of her engagement with audience members of The Rosie Show during a commercial break last week, told reporters at the Michigan Avenue Magazine cover party at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, IN, on Tuesday that the actual proposal took place “a few months ago.”

“I proposed with my head down, hand out and a huge lump in my throat,” O’Donnell told reporters.

The couple were originally rumored to be tying the knot over the Christmas holidays, but O’Donnell said they were considering a private spring ceremony, with a bigger reception in the summer. ”I don’t want anyone to feel left out!” she said.

Congratulations, Rosie! That’s one heck of a rock.
