“Hairspray” star Nikki Blonsky, who shared the screen with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars back in 2007 in the movie directed by Adam Shankman, is currently working at a hair salon called the Superstar Salon in Long Island.

The 23 year-old actress/singer/dancer took to her Twitter to confirm she is actually proudly working as a makeup artist, but to reassure her fans she is not giving up on her dreams. Girl needs to make some money to survive, okay!?!

Nikki tweeted, “Its true Im workin@ Superstar Salon as a makeup artist & more Im proud 2 b workin & helpin pay bills BUT ill NEVER loose sight of my dreams.”

“Just cause Im part time workin doesnt mean Im gonna give up on my dreams n dont give up on urs I might book something big soon keep positive.”

Later, Nikki thanked her fans for their incredible support. “Thank u all for ur love and support my fans are the best in the world! I’m truly blessed to have u all!,” she wrote. There’s nothing degrading about having a legit job to be able to put food on the table.
