After 14 months of wedded bliss, pop star Katy Perry and her comedian husband Russell Brand have called it quits. But one question still remains: Did they have a prenup?

Brand told reporters at an October 2010 event that he and Perry wanted to keep their marriage as “normal” as possible. ”It ain’t selling the pictures, ain’t doing no prenup. It’s like a normal thing,” he said.

Court documents are vague, and it’s unclear whether there was a prenup or not. And if there was one, this statement suggests that it may not cover all the assets accumulated during their message: ”There are community property assets and obligations of the parties, the exact nature and extent of which are unknown to the Petitioner at this time.”

With Perry’s net worth at $44 million and Brand’s at only between $6.6 and $15 million, you can bet he’s gonna want a slice of that.

To top that off, the two bought $6.5 million home in the Sunset Strip area of Los Angeles in June 2011.
