Although Marcus was determined to be the best singer and performer he can be, he failed to make a comeback. In fact, this was probably Marcus’ most disastrous performance. That was not good. Marcus was out of breath, proving it’s not easy to sing and dance at the same time. Marcus did a back flip – Nicole Scherzinger went crazy, while MJ’s kids continued to look bored out of their minds.

Nicole’s verbatim: “You’re the whole package, PYT!” Paula Abdul declared Marcus is the entertainer of this show. Simon Cowell pointed out the vocals weren’t really good. L.A. Reid loved the inventive arrangement of the song, hoping back flips will earn him some votes. Next week, Marcus will need to do a mortal to stay in the competition… if he survives this double elimination week! Doubt it.

Rachel Crow “Can You Feel It” The X Factor Top 7 Michael Jackson Tribute (VIDEO)

Rachel Crow (Team Simon Cowell) proudly sang a rendition of “Can You Feel It” during a very special Michael Jackson tribute night at the “The X-Factor” Top 7 live show on Wednesday (November 30)- watch video below.

Super cute Rachel wants to be just as successful as the King of Pop. Wow. This is another poor song choice for the young diva. The contestant was a bit lost in the middle of all the dancers, disco balls and gimmicks, so she did not have the opportunity to show what she can really do with her vocal instrument.

L.A. Reid thought Rachel wasn’t having a good time. Nicole Scherzinger agreed, saying she did not feel Rachel’s connection to what was happening on stage and the audience. Paula Abdul told the contestant it’s time to be who she wants to be. Simon Cowell complained it’s an anti-Simon night, but claimed Rachel is a pop star.

Drew Ryniewicz “Billie Jean” The X Factor Top 7 Michael Jackson Tribute (VIDEO)

Drew Ryniewicz (Team Simon Cowell) delivered a stripped out rendition of the classic “Billie Jean” during a very special Michael Jackson tribute night at the “The X-Factor” Top 7 live show on Wednesday (November 30)- watch video below.

Drew doesn’t want to disrespect the King, and she didn’t think she should be sitting down, but her mentor is pretty sure that less is always more. I actually liked the whole sit in a chair and sing your heart out with a slow, ballad version of the MJ megahit. That was simply beautiful.

L.A. Reid thought Drew made the song her own and he liked it. Nicole Scherzinger’s verbatim: “I don’t understand the chair!” Paula Abdul said that was Drew’s best vocal performance, but she wanted more dancing and visuals during MJ week. Simon Cowell reminded her: “Because of too much dancing is why your acts are out of the competition right now.” OH SNAP.

Astro’s “Black or White” Rap The X Factor Top 7 Michael Jackson Tribute (VIDEO)

Little rapper Astro aka Brian Bradley (Team L.A. Reid) delivered a rapping rendition of “Black or White” during a very special Michael Jackson tribute night at the “The X-Factor” Top 7 live show on Wednesday (November 30)- watch video below.

Once again, Astro wrote his own lyrics which means he totally butchered a perfectly amazing Michael Jackson song. I’m all for creativity and originality, but Astro’s musical makeovers are starting to seriously annoy me. What was wrong with “Black or White”? Why did he have to change the whole freaking song?

Even though it was not his best performance, Nicole Scherzinger thought it was “B. Double A. D.” Paula Abdul believes Astro is the past, present and future (whatever that means!). Simon Cowell loved Astro’s performance and new attitude. He claimed Astro took a classic song and made it younger to fit a new generation.

Oh, shut up Simon! “Black or White” is timeless. L.A. Reid was just too proud of his boy, hoping the Jackson family in the audience liked it too. MJ’s mom, Katherine Jackson, actually looked confused, while MJ’s kids, Prince, Paris and Blanket, were totally bored out of their minds.

Josh Krajcik “Dirty Diana” The X Factor Top 7 Michael Jackson Tribute (VIDEO)

Josh Krajcik (Team Nicole Scherzinger) kicked off the show in style with a rocking performance of “Dirty Diana” during a very special Michael Jackson tribute night at the “The X-Factor” Top 7 live show on Wednesday (November 30)- watch video below.

MJ was one of Josh’s idols when he was a kid, but the contestant was forced to come out of his comfort zone this week. “Dirty Diana” is one of those rocker songs, so Josh shouldn’t have been that nervous. The half naked dancers definitely did not make him feel more comfortable. Get those horny ladies out of there!

L.A. Reid was happy Josh stepped out of his comfy zone and landed on his feet. Paula Abdul claimed some of the best performances come from that discomfort zone. Simon Cowell thought that was Josh’s weakest performance because it was overproduced. Josh stopped being himself to become who his mentor wants him to be. Nicole Scherzinger defended her pupil, saying they are not afraid to take risks.
