Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin is the latest celebrity to make a special appearance on FOX’s hit show “Glee”. The 40 year-old apparently had a blast on set where he re-encountered an old friend – Lea Michele, who plays the Glee queen Rachel Berry.

Lea has known Ricky since she was only eight years old because they stared in Les Miserables on Broadway back in 1996. It’s a small world. The two took the opportunity to take a picture together and with the rest of the Glee cast to share with their Twitter fans.

“Back at work! Starting our next episode with my old friend Ricky Martin! I’ve known Ricky since I’m 8 years old! He was in Les Mis on Broadway with me in 1996! Crazy huh?!,”Lea tweeted. “So much fun on set with Ricky! He’s seriously the sweetest and such a great fit for our show!”

Later Ricky tweeted, “AND….. ITS A WRAP!!! Incredible 2 days of shoot! Amazing experience! To all the cast….Muchas Gracias ;0) #GLEE”

Ricky Martin is expected to play a hot Spanish teacher in a highly anticipated upcoming episode of the third season of the show. Look out, Mr. Shuester (Matthew Morrison)!
