Meryl Streep Curses During Golden Globes Acceptance Speech (VIDEO)
Actress Meryl Streep is astonished and embarrassed because she actually accidently said s**t during her acceptance speech for Best Actress in a Movie, Drama at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 15).

The 62 year-old “The Iron Lady” star was obviously so thrilled with her new toy, a Golden Globe, that she forgot her glasses and therefore she could not read her planned speech. Meryl simply didn’t want to forget to thank anyone.

Meryl said, “Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Well, when Ricky Gervais’ deal fell through and they came to me to play Margaret Thatcher — I can’t joke. I mean, this is such a thrill but, really, really embarrassing in a year that saw so many extraordinary performances by women in leading roles, by my friends, by people I don’t know, by people that I am so inspired by. Oh, s***. My glasses! Oh, my God. I’m going to have to remember my speech. OK. I’m going to have to remember, but Glenn, Viola — oh, my God, I’m going to leave people off…”
Later at the Golden Globes press room, Meryl confessed she was embarrassed by the little incident. “Oh, I can’t believe I said ‘sh*t’ on TV. I never do anything like that! It’s just, I have such a good speech, and I can’t see it at all… because I left my glasses at the table.”
We forgive you, Meryl. I, for one, loved Meryl’s impromptu speech.
