GASP. British songbird Adele finally has a new man in her life, charity entrepreneur Simon Konecki, and the two have been happily dating for a few months. Adele is totally in love and over the moon, so what could possibly go wrong?

Everything. According to the Daily Mail, the 36 year-old is still married to his estranged wife, stylish Clary Fisher, and they have a 5 year-old daughter. Simon and Clary reportedly separated in 2010, but still haven’t divorced. Adele is dating a married man!?!

So what? He’s separated from his wife. What’s wrong with that? Apparently, everything as Adele took the time to set the record straight on her own official website. It’s never good when celebs start talking about their relationships, but Adele felt the need to express herself.

Adele wrote, “This is the first and last time I will comment on the details of my relationship with Simon. Contrary to reports and headlines in the press today, Simon is divorced and has been for 4 years.

“Everyone in our lives separately and together wish us nothing but the best, and vice versa. These are the facts. Take care and see you all in February xx”

There you go. Rumor quickly shut down, yet another door was open for speculation in the future. The 23 year-old “Set Fire To The Rain” singer does not mention a daughter, who is not even relevant to the case unless Adele is planning on becoming a stepmom soon.
