Twilight star Bryce Dallas Howard and her husband Seth Gabel have welcomed their second child together, a healthy baby girl named Beatrice Jean Howard-Gabel on Thursday (January 19).

The birth of the baby girl, who weighed in at 8 lbs., 6 oz., was announced on Sunday (Jan 22) by proud grandpa, movie director Ron Howard on Twitter.

“Beatrice Jean Howard-Gabel Born Jan 19 2012 8lbs 6oz Bryce & Baby B are spectacular Daddy Seth & brother Theo are beaming ear to ear ,” he tweeted. Adding, “Beatrice’s arrival is hugely exciting for our family. Thanks for all the kind tweets folks.”

The 30 year-old actress recently revealed she felt overjoyed with the pending arrival of the bundle of joy, even though she suffered from postpartum depression after giving birth to her 4½-year-old son Theo in 2007.
