Model/actress Kate Upton is the smoking hot new cover girl of this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. The SI cover was leaked via Twitter a few hours before the 19 year-old was announced as the cover girl (see full cover below).

SI’s big announcement would also include the reveal of the 2012 cover during a special event tonight. How was the cover leaked earlier? Well apparently some magazines unexpectedly arrived early to a gas station somewhere in Michigan.

Kate made her first appearance in the body paint section of the infamous SI Swimsuit issue last year. The Guess model was named Rookie of The Year by the magazine.
