Peyton Manning Emotional Goodbye To Indianapolis Colts (VIDEO)
Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay officially announced they are releasing legendary quarterback Peyton Manning during a press conference on Wednesday (March 7). The 35 year-old was obviously very emotional as he was forced to say goodbye to Colts fans who supported him following him a series of surgeries over the past years.

Peyton said, “Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart, I truly have enjoyed being your quarterback.” Irsay also emotionally announced that the retirement of Manning’s #18 jersey, saying, “The number 18 jersey will never be worn again by a Colt on the field.”
Irsay added, “We’re here very much as well to honor all the incredible memories and incredible things that he’s done for the franchise … for the city … for the state … I can’t thank [Peyton] enough.” As for Peyton, he still wants to continue playing.
The team was forced to release Peyton, who will become a free agent, before they had to pay him a $28 million bonus as part of his $90 million contract. “Nothing lasts forever,” Peyton said. “Times change and that’s the reality of playing in the NFL.”
