Country star Jake Owen is now officially engaged to his girlfriend Lacey Buchanan after going down on one knee to propose during a performance at the Citrus Bowl in front of family and friends in his hometown of Vero Beach, Florida on Saturday night (April 7)- watch video below.

The 30 year-old brought Lacey on stage as he performed “Don’t Think I Can’t Love You” to surprise her and the audience with a ring-less yet super romantic impromptu proposal.

“You’re probably wondering where your ring is, right?” Referencing the lyrics of the song, he added: “I just said I can’t buy you a big diamond ring or a big old house on the hill, but I promise you I’ll love you forever and ever and ever.”

The two hugged and kissed while the audience cheered. Later, the country singer took to his Twitter to reveal he is a very happily engaged man. “I’m a happy man. Life is complete,” he wrote.
