Russell Brand opened up about his relationship and divorce from pop singer Katy Perry while making an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres‘ talk show Thursday.

“I still love her as a human being,” Brand said. “But, sometimes when you’re in a relationship I suppose it doesn’t work out, does it? But that doesn’t mean I regret it or anything.”

Brand filed for divorce from Perry on Dec. 30 and was spotted with multiple women thereafter. It’s taken Perry a bit longer to get back in the dating game, but she’s now linked to Florence + the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd.

“I was very happy to be married with her,” Brand continued. “She’s such a beautiful human being and I just have only love and positivity for her.”

The comedian kept positive about his soon-to-be ex-wife, saying she’s ”a person I still consider to be beautiful . . . I have nothing but positivity for her.”

I doubt these feelings are mutual….
