R&B singer Jonathan Arthur “Chico” DeBarge, whose siblings formed the Motown band DeBarge, has finally decided to file for divorce from his wife Andrea DeBarge at the L.A. County Superior Court.

Chico cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their separation. Andrea and Chico, who tied the knot back in 1996, separated back in 2005 after nine years of marriage. The couple has four children together.

Surprisingly, the 45 year-old singer is not seeking custody of the children, but is simply asking for visitation rights. Chico also asked to take paternity tests to prove the two of their kids born before they were marriage are his before forking out money for child support.
