Legendary musician Elton John was rushed to the hospital with what is described as a serious respiratory infection, which forced him to cancel performances at the Caesars Palace’s Colosseum in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 24, 25 and 27.

As the doctor’s advised the 65 year-old to get some rest, those dates had to be rescheduled for October. Elton is currently being treated at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where is undergoing a series of tests, in Los Angeles, California.

Elton John released the following statement to apologize to his fans:

“It feels strange not to be able to perform these ‘Million Dollar Piano’ concerts at The Colosseum. I love performing this show and I will be thrilled when we return to The Colosseum in October to complete the eleven concerts soon to be scheduled. All I can say to the fans is sorry I can’t be with you.”

Fortunately, Elton has already been released from the hospital and is currently recovering at home with his partner David Furnish and son Zachary. Get well soon! We wish Elton a quick and full recovery.
