Oscar! Oscar! Actor Brad Pitt plays a point man named Jackie Cogan in these newly released teaser clip of the highly anticipated crime drama, “Killing Them Softly” based on the George V. Higgins’ novel “Cogan’s Trade” and directed by Andrew Dominik (see video below).

“It can get touchy-feely, emotional, not fun, a lot of fuss. They cry, they plead, they beg, they piss themselves, they call for their mothers. Gets embarrassing. I like to kill them softly, from a distance, not close enough for feelings,” Brad’s character explaining why he likes to kill them softly.

We are beginning to understand why this movie received a long standing ovation at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, if Brad’s brilliant performance in this 50 second clip is any indication.

“Killing Them Softly” hits theaters on September 21, 2012.
