Miss Ohio Audrey Bolte Says “Pretty Woman” Is A Positive Portrayal of Females (VIDEO)
Oh, boy! Miss Ohio Audrey Bolte, one of the Top 5 Miss USA contestants, told the judges she believes that Julia Roberts’ character – a prostitute – in “Pretty Woman” is a positive portrayal of women in movies during the round of judges’ questions at the 61st Annual Miss USA Pageant held at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday (June 3).
Audrey Bolte responded: “I think it depends on the movie. I think there are some movies that depict women in a very positive role, and then some movies that put them in a little bit more of negative role. But by the end of the movie, they show that woman power that I know we all have. Such as movie Pretty Woman. We had a wonderful, beautiful woman, Julia Roberts, and she was having a rough time, but, you know what, she came out on top and she didn’t let anybody stand in her path.”
Seriously? Or this girl hasn’t even seen the movie or she is obviously stupid. How does a prostitute falling in love with a rich guy who loves her back and ends up saving her is an example of someone’s ability to turn their life around and let no one stop them from achieving their goals? Blonde moment!
“Pretty Woman” is a prostitutes’ fairytale. Miss Ohio’s vision of a positive portrayal of women in movies is a major embarrassment for people of her home state. Job well done, Miss Audrey Bolte!
