The New England Patriots have decided to release their wide receiver Chad Ochocinco after failing to trade him following a less than stellar season.

The 34 year-old, who played for the Cincinnati Bengals for ten years, spent only one season with the Patriots for which he was reportedly paid $5.75 million.

Chad thanked the fans for their incredible support. “Thoroughly enjoyed the oppurtunity to play for the ‘Patriot’ organization … fans were f****** wicked awesome, I wish all of you the best,” he tweeted.

Thankfully, Chad will not go homeless since his fiancée, Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada, vowed to support him through this difficult time. Yep, it’s time for Evelyn to wear the pants and become a breadwinner. Right?
