Welch’s body was found by his wife Wendy Armistead Welch. The 65 year-old, who was allegedly suffering with health problems recently, left a suicide note. Everything points to a suicide, but the police is currently investigating the case.

Welch was part of Fleetwood Mac from 1971 to 1974, when he decided to leave and was replaced by Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. As a solo artist, Welch is best known for 1970’s hits like “Sentimental Lady,” “Hot Love, Cold World” and “Ebony Eyes.”
