Rodney Glen King was reportedly found dead by his fiancée Cynthia Kelley at the bottom of a pool earlier this morning (Sunday, June 17) in Rialto, California. He was only 47 years old.

Paramedics had to remove Rodney from the poll to perform CPR after they received a 911 call at around 5:25 a.m. PT. Unfortunately, Rodney was pronounced dead shortly thereafter at 6:11 a.m.

In 1991, Rodney became famous as the victim of police brutality involving the Los Angeles Police Department in an incident caught on tape by a bystander (George Holliday). The police officers’ acquittals led to the infamous Los Angeles riots in 1992.
