The Voice finalist Chris Mann became engaged to his longtime girlfriend, actress Laura Perloe, after he went down on one knee to propose while they were enjoying a romantic vacation in Napa last month.

The 30 year-old singer and his girlfriend decided to take some time for themselves to reconnect after super busy months of competition on the FOX’s talent show. And one quiet evening Chris decided it was time to take the next step and propose.

“It was very sweet!” Perloe said. “He had just gotten of The Voice — so it had been craziness — and we decided we wanted to take a few days to ourselves and go up to Napa and just kind of relax…Reconnect with each other. We went to one of our favorite Vineyards and he did it the old fashioned way… got down on one knee!”

“It was nice,” Mann agreed. “It was beautiful. It was simple [with] lots of wine. It was our first time alone in six months because it was chaotic. Now it’s fun.”

“We literally had all these plans, and we ended up sitting in our hotel room by the fire and just having some champagne,” said Perloe. “We didn’t even want to go out to a fancy dinner or do anything. It was so nice.”

Laura, who appears in upcoming movie “Seeking a Friend For The End Of The World” starring Keira Knightley and Steve Carell, and the singer have not set a date to elope yet, but they are planning on taking some time to enjoy the new stage of their relationship – the engagement – before committing to an eternity together.
