Usher Family Friend Under Investigation After Stepson’s Jet Ski Accident

A family friend of Usher‘s is under investigation after a jet ski accident left his stepson brain dead.

Usher‘s stepson Kyle Glover, 12, was sitting on an inner tube with a unidentified 15-year-old girl when they were struck by a jet ski. Glover was declared brain dead by doctors following the accident.

Jeffrey S. Hubbard is now being investigated by local officials.

“Basically, a pontoon was pulling two juveniles on an inner tube, and the watercraft ran over the top of them,” Sergeant Mike Burgamy from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources told reporters. ”One minute the jet ski was running around, the next he ran over the top of them – it happened that quickly,” he continued. “It appears the watercraft did strike both juveniles, with the male taking the brunt of the force.”

Burgamy went on to explain that the charges brought on Hubbard would depend on Glover’s medical prognosis. “It depends on the male’s condition. With certain things we have to wait and see,” he said. “Once we gather all our info, we’ll talk to the District Attorney and discuss it with them to decide what action to take.”
