Celebrity chef Cat Cora is the star of one of the most “glamorous” mug shots in history of celebrity mug shots, which was taken after her arrest for suspicion of DUI in Santa Barbara last month (on June 17).
Cat was reportedly drunk driving and calling people in other cars “nerds” as she rear-ended another vehicle. When cops arrived at the scene, the Food Network chef’s blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit of 0.08.
Unfortunately, for some unknown reason, Cat did not take the mug shot when she was arrested, but had to return to the station on June 28 for that purpose. The 45 year-old also decided to publicly apologize in a statement.
Cat said, “I deeply regret my decision to drive that evening after my designated driver became unavailable. I learned a very important lesson from this experience and take full accountability for my actions. This will never happen again.”
You live, you learn. Next time, get yourself another trustworthy designated driver. Cat is set to be arraigned for one count of DUI and one count of driving with a blood alcohol level above the legal limit on July 26.
