Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson was dropped from the Miami Dolphins 24 hours after he was arrested on a domestic battery charge involving his wife of only five weeks, Evelyn Lozada.

Lozada ran to a neighbor’s home and called police after having an argument with her husband in the car in front of their home where he head-butted her, causing a “3-inch cut on her forehead,” according to the responding officer . She had reportedly found a receipt for a box of condoms in his car earlier in the day that prompted the dispute.

The wide-receiver confirmed to police that there was an argument over the receipt, but claimed that his wife had done the head-butting. He was released from jail with a misdemeanor charge on Sunday, poting a $2,500 bail.

The footballer’s defense attorney, Adam Swickle, told reporters that Lozada has had an order issued against Johnson which prevents him from contacting her.

Must really suck to lose your wife and your job in the same day. Then again, it must really suck to get head-butted by YOUR HUSBAND.
