Playboy model Jenny McCarthy and her Chicago Bears linebacker boyfriend Brian Urlacher have gone their separate ways after a short romance together.

“Brian and I have decided to turn our romance into an amazing friendship,” McCarthy, 39, said in a statement. “I will continue to be the biggest cheerleader for him. Go, Bears!”

McCarthy, who appeared as the July/August Playboy cover girl this year, stayed quiet about her relationship with Urlacher, which began around April.

Maybe he couldn’t handle his woman’s goodies all over the place? Nah. He’s a football player.
