The Black Keys Sue Home Depot, Pizza Hut

The Grammy-winning band The Black Keys has sued The Home Depot and Pizza Hut companies for allegedly using their music without permission.

The Black Keys claim in a lawsuit filed in June that The Home Depot Inc. used “elements” of their hit song “Lonely Boy” in an ad for power tools. They went on to accuse Pizza Hut Inc. of using “Gold On the Ceiling” in an ad selling cheesy crust pizza.

The companies have denied using the music in separate court documents that were filed on Thursday and Friday in Los Angeles.

Pizza Hut and Home Depot are asking a judge to have the band pay their attorney fees if they win the case.
