‘Top Gun’ Director Suicide: Tony Scott Jumps Off Bridge In LA
Famous movie director, Tony Scott, best known for directing movies like “Top Gun,” “Enemy of The State,” “Man On Fire,” “Spy Game,” and “Déjà Vu,” apparently committed suicide by jumping off the Vincent Thomas Bridge in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (August 19).
The 68 year-old director, also brother of director Ridley Scott, allegedly parked his Toyota Prius on one of the eastbound lanes of the bridges that links San Pedro to Terminal Island before he jumped to his death at around 12:30 pm.
Several witnesses, who claimed the director jumped without hesitation, called 911. Tony Scott’s body was recovered by the U.S. Coast Guard at around 4:30 pm. The authorities also found a suicide note inside Scott’s car.
Tony is survived by his wife, actress Donna Scott, and twin sons (pictured above). Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Scott family.
R.I.P. Tony Scott.
