U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens Killed in Libyan Riots
Chris Stevens, the U.S. Ambassador to Libya was killed in Libya earlier today during riots over a film that ridiculed Islamic prophet Mohammad.
Three other Americans, who worked for Stevens’ staff, were also killed in the violent attack.
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said the deadly attack should “shock the conscience of people of all faiths around the world.”
Clinton said the assault was committed by a “small and savage group” of militants, not by the people or government of Libya.
Stevens was suffocated.
