Actress Taryn Manning was arrested Thursday in New York City after she allegedly attacked her personal assistant in a hotel room.

The 33-year-old spent over 24 hours locked up for “attacking and choking” the assistant. She has been charged with misdemeanor assault.

Manning’s lawyer, Joseph Tacopina, told reporters the two got into a confrontation but it was not an assault. He said it was “a little misunderstanding between the two.”

The actress is due back in court on Nov. 13.

I’ve always thought she looked scrappy.
