Lindsay Lohan reportedly called the police on her father Michael Lohan Friday afternoon after he attempted to stage an intervention.

Police officers were called to the 26-year-old’s Beverly Hills home to remove Michael and a “team” he had gathered on her lawn in an attempt to force his daughter into a rehabilitation program for drug and alcohol abuse.

Michael has been public about the fact that he thinks Lindsay has ”fallen off the wagon” lately, claiming that he has the support of her “entire team.”

Last week, Lindsay told TMZ she’s “done with him.” She added, he ”doesn’t know what it means to be a father,” Lohan sniped. “He doesn’t want to be a dad.”

Here’s the problem: Michael wants to be in the spotlight more than Lindsay does. Call me crazy, but I sincerely believe she’s working to get herself back together, and he does nothing but continuously embarrass her. A real father would handle this matter privately, rather than calling the media to a staged intervention.
