Lindsay Lohan‘s publicist Steve Honig has split with the actress following a run-in with her father Michael Lohan.

Michael confessed to TMZ that he and Honig had “butted head” in the weeks leading up to the “intervention” that Michael staged on his daughter’s lawn last Friday. Things got even more heated over the weekend when Honig released a statement saying Lindsay’s management team had nothing to do with the intervention as Michael had previously claimed.

After seeing the statement, Michael sent him a text calling him a ”f**king liar.”

Honig officially quit last night, and sources assured reporters he wasn’t quitting over the actress. He later told TMZ that he didn’t just quit because of her father, saying, “Michael wishes he were that important.”
