As if Lindsay Lohan‘s day could get any worse, the actress was officially charged with lying to police following an accident that took place six months ago.

The Liz & Dick star was on her way to the set in Santa Monica on June 8 when she ran her Porsche into the back of a dump truck. She claimed that she wasn’t driving the car, blaming it instead on her assistant.

Lindsay Lohan Arrested and Charged with Assault

Lohan, who was arrested early this morning for assaulting a woman in an NYC club, was officially charged today with obstructing or resisting a police officer, providing false information to a police officer, and reckless driving.

“During the subsequent investigation, information was developed that Lohan was the driver of the Porsche when the accident occurred,” the police department said in a statement.

Lohan now faces up to 245 days in jail because the charges violate the probation set in place from two previous DUI arrests and a necklace theft case.
