Bravo reality star Bethenny Frankel and her husband Jason Hoppy have announced their plans to separate after two years of marriage.

Frankel confirmed the news to UsWeekly, following rumors that the couple split. They are parents to a two-year-old daughter, Bryn.

“This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family,” she said, adding that the situation has caused her “great sadness.”

“We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority. This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us,” she continued.

A source told reporters earlier this week that things had become less-than-perfect between the couple, citing their differences in business matters.”Things have gotten even more strained in recent months,” a source revealed. “They’re fighting a lot.”

This is Frankel’s second marriage.

If you watched Bethenny’s reality show, Bethenny Ever After, it was obvious the two were having some serious issues, however, I thought they were a perfect fit. This is sad news.
