* JOSH BROLIN FINED OVER DRUNKEN ARREST
Actor JOSH BROLIN was fined $250 (£156) following his New Year’s Day (01Jan13) arrest for public intoxication.
The No Country For Old Men star was taken into custody on the streets of Santa Monica, California after partying a little too hard with friends late on Tuesday.
He was booked for the misdemeanour charge but managed to escape further prosecution by agreeing to hand over the cash payment, according to Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper.
The incident isn’t Brolin’s first brush with the law – he previously landed himself in jail after becoming embroiled in a bar brawl in Shreveport, Louisiana in 2008 after enjoying a few drinks with crew members working on his film W. The actor and his co-star Jeffrey Wright were arrested and charged with interfering with police business following the altercation at the Stray Cat bar, but the case was later dropped.
