Michelle Obama made a couple of bold moves for her birthday, which she celebrated on Jan. 17, by getting sassy new bangs and starting a new Twitter account.

The First Lady is enjoying a few days in the spotlight before her husband President Barack Obama is sworn in for a second term. She debuted her new do’ in a photo with Inaugural citizen co-chair David Hall on her second Twitter page @FLOTUS.

Michelle was meeting with Hall to discuss the National Day of Service, which takes place on Jan. 19, and honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
