Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans filed five assault charges against her husband Courtland Rogers after hinting on Twitter that she had suffered a miscarriage.
Evans, who has had her own troubles with the law, went to the magistrate in North Carolina to file four charges of assault on a female and one charge of battery of an unborn child.
The 21-year-old reality star Tweeted yesterday afternoon,  ”And the deed is done.” She followed up minutes later posting, ”Everyone chill, he is fine. He is scared of coming back to town that’s why he wants pity.”
On Wednesday, Evans had hinted on the social media forum that she had suffered a miscarriage. ”I am getting a divorce, ASAP,” she tweeted at Rogers. “You f–king leave out of town and I might be having a miscarriage? F–k you, you f–king piece of s–t.”
Evans’ attorney Dustin R.T. Sullivan confirmed that assault charges had been filed but didn’t speak about the miscarriage rumors. ”They are the highest level of misdemeanor you can get,” Sullivan said, confirming that Evans was “physically assaulted over a period of time.” “He faces a maximum 150 days in jail per charge.”
“I have seen her in much better spirits in the past,” he continued. “She seems to be very concerned about her general health and well-being. She is not upbeat at all. She is going through a very difficult time right now.”
Rogers, who married Evans in December, has denied claims that he hit his wife.
