“THE LEGEND ENDS.” A full trailer of the final chapter, “The Dark Knight Rises”, directed by Christopher Nolan, starring Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne (aka Batman) and Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman), was just released by Warner Bros. (see movie trailer below).

The Dark Knight Rises movie synopsis:

Following the death of District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman assumes responsibility for Dent’s crimes in order to protect Dent’s reputation and is hunted as a fugitive by the Gotham City Police Department.

Eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, Gotham has recovered from the Joker’s killing spree, and is experiencing a time of peace.

A warning from the “enigmatic” Selina Kyle foreshadows a coming cataclysm, prompting Batman to return to the city where he must stop the villain Bane and his plans to destroy Gotham.

The epic movie also stars Michael Caine (as Alfred, the butler), Gary Oldman (as James Gordon), Morgan Freeman (as Lucius Fox), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (as John Blake), Marion Cotillard (as Miranda Tate) and Tom Hardy (as Bane). The movie promises to be EPIC.

The actress, 29, frolicked in the park with her man and pup while dazzling onlookers with a 6-carat sparkler. ”After all that Anne’s been through in the past she knows the value of quality in everything, from her men to her engagement ring,” jewelry expert Michael O’Connor told reporters. “Like a fine romance, this setting will embrace the diamond forever and never fade or change color.”

Recently engaged Anne Hathaway and her fiance Adam Shulman spent Sunday celebrating in Brooklyn’s Fort Greene Park with her chocolate lab, Esmeralda.

The actress was wearing her brand new sparkler, which was designed by Kwiat, whose diamonds are conflict-free.  ”Adam he did work with us to design a ring that he knew Anne would love,” owner Greg Kwiat told reporters. “He had a very strong vision for what he knew Anne would love.”

Between playing fetch in the autumn leaves, the lovebirds engaged in some PDA.

Hathaway, 29, began dating Shulman after her messy breakup with Raffaello Follieri in 2008. You may remember Follieri for pleading guilty to defrauding investors of millions of dollars in a scheme in which he posed as a real estate consultant for the Vatican.

The actress, who has been sporting an engagement ring designed by Kwiat Heritage, has said Shulman is much more “mellow” than her previous relationships. ”Mellow doesn’t always make for a good story, but it makes for a good life.”

In light of recent rumors that MTV is looking to replace the Jersey Shore cast after Season 5, late-night host, Conan O’Brien compiled some lost audition tapes of a few Hollywood heavyweights he felt would be a good fit for the dysfunctional, reality TV cast.

The “footage” features Love and Other Drugs star Anne Hathaway and My Idiot Brother star Paul Rudd (And the AllState commercials guy, Dennis Haysbert) doing their best Guido and Guidette impersonations – and I’ve got to say, it seems like they’ve got the Jersey thang down pat.

Rudd opens his piece of the audition montage by simple stating, “I want to marry a Guido,” and then goes on to describe why all he wants for the rest of his days, is to live his life, down on the shore.

My ultimate dream is to move to Jersey and find a nice, hot, juiced, tanned guy and live my life.

Sounds just like a fairytale, don’t it?

While both Rudd and Hathaway are hilarious in the bit, the real winner is, Haysbert, who vehemently asserts that he will NOT fall on a grenade for The Situation.

Anyone who disliked my personality probably disliked my personality before the Oscars.”

On the nudity in Love and Other Drugs:

“I don’t get hung up on nudity. To me, it was just an extension of who she was. It was real.”

And I’m going to be brave enough to only be with someone who wants me the way I am.’”

On preparing for her role as Catwoman by taking dance lessons, stunt training and working out 5 days a week:

“I’ve always thought that skinny was the goal, but with this job I also have to be strong.”

Seriously? The 2011 Oscar co-hosts should probably hate each other after one of the biggest fiascos in Hollywood history. But, does Anne Hathaway really hate James Franco? And vice-versa?

James seemed to be too high to even care about what was happening and to understand how big his responsibilities at the event were. Anne basically had to make all the heavy lifting – she tried too damn hard to be funny and failed miserably. She is not a comedienne.

“She had to provide all the energy — he was just phoning it in,” says a second insider. “James seemed in his own little world. Producers were pissed.”

After the show, the 32 year-old actor skipped his own Oscars after-party at The Writer’s Room in Los Angeles and went straight back to New York (WHY?). A source said, “He went immediately back to NYC because he was pissed about how the show went.”

Anne’s rep denies such claims, saying, “This is absolutely not true. Anne had a wonderful experience with him.” Of course, she did. Anne cannot say James basically ruined her big night. Or didn’t he?

It was a performance that left many viewers of the 83rd Academy Awards wishing for the days of Bob Hope or Billy Crystal as host. Anne Hathaway seemed to be trying really hard, perhaps too hard at times, to do the best she could.  Her co-host James Franco appeared well STONED, unattached to what was happening, and disinterested.
