Walt Disney Pictures released the first official photos of the much anticipated movie “Alice In Wonderland” directed by the infamous Tim Burton. WOW! This is exactly what you expect from the director. He turned a traditional tale into something murky, dark and mysterious.

The 19 year-old Aussie actress Mia Wasikowska plays role of Alice. Producer Richard Zanuck says, “There is something real, honest and sincere about her. She’s not a typical Hollywood starlet.”

Johnny Depp, who works with Burton for the seventh time, plays the Mad Hatter, Burton’s wife Helena Bonham Carter is the Red Queen and beautiful Anne Hathaway is the White Queen.

Actress Anne Hathaway is currently dating an actor named Adam Shulman, best known for his role as Enos in the movie “The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning”. The 27 year-old actor and Anne met through mutual friends and rumors say he had someone special right before they started dating.

Anne ended a complicated relationship with Raffaello Follieri, who was sentenced to four and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to fraud, money laundering and conspiracy, earlier this year. A source says: “Adam’s everything Raffaello wasn’t. He’s sensitive and kind to a fault. I think Anne may have found a kindred spirit.”

Actresses Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Aniston are involved in the most insane petty celebrity battle of the decade. Anne, who is a funny girl (we love her! God bless her!), told in an interview before the Oscars she made bad choices when it comes to men and vowed to go solo or take her dad as her date to the 81st Annual Academy Awards. As an after-thought she added “I’m like Jennifer Aniston. I pick the wrong guys.”

Jennifer apparently has no sense of humor and retorted “Say what you like…I’ve never dated con men or criminals!” Touché! Jennifer doesn’t need to defend herself against this kind of comment and the fact she did just gives makes it more relevant.

Sighed a mutual pal/tattle-tale: “Jen’s feeling her age, and doesn’t need some 20-something actress yanking her chain. She’s a bad enemy to make, but that’s typical Anne – she puts her foot in her mouth all the time.”

I don’t think Anne put her foot in her mouth! She was just being funny. Of course when you have a glass house you should never throw stones to the other side as they might rebound. Let’s hope this “fight” ends here!

Actresses Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson aren’t exactly best friends and there might have been some cat fighting on their latest movie “Bride Wars”. According to sources, their rivalry didn’t end when the cameras stopped filming. We have all heard how Kate accidentally punched Anne in a more heated scene but a production staffer confirms things got really nasty between the two stars.

A production staffer who worked on the film claims the nastiness in many of the actresses’ fight scenes ”didn’t require all that much acting. … They really didn’t get along all that well.”

”I think these are two such different women. Anne is more of an intellectual and Kate comes off as something of a dizzy lightweight. … It’s hard to believe those two would have anything in common,” also claiming she overheard both women making catty comments about the other.

If you have two talented and beautiful women together in one little movie set, there will be trouble. It’s bound to happen when they start comparing who gets the cutest wardrobe, best makeup, best light, more screen time… the list goes on.

Of course, these rumors were promptly denied by Hathaway’s spokesman, Stephen Huvane: “There was absolutely no tension between the two. They are great friends and it is a shame the media always does this to women.”

Actually I think both Kate and Anne are having a lot of fun competing and fighting for attention. At least that’s the impression we get from the various photos at red carpets the two have hit together!!

VH1’s 14th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards happened last night at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in Santa Monica, California. This event is a warm-up for the Oscars and normally who wins Best Picture of the year also takes home the Oscar - this year’s big winner was “Slumdog Millionaire”.

“The Dark Knight” won another award for Best Action Film. The Best Actress award was a tie between Meryl Streep (“Doubt”) and Anne Hathaway (“Rachel Getting Married”), while Sean Penn took the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actor for his performance in the movie “Milk”. Finally Richard Gere was honored with the 2nd Annual Joel Siegel Award presented by one of my favorite actresses Diane Lane.
