Actor Ben Affleck just posted a video on his official Facebook account to thank his mom Chris and the mother of his children, actress Jennifer Garner who he calls a “world class mom,” as well as wish a Happy Mother’s Day to mothers across the world (check video below).

Ben says, “Hi, I want to say Happy Mother’s Day to the moms in my life, my mom Chris, and my amazing wife Jennifer, who is an incredible, spectacular, world class mom, and I want to thank her.”

The 39 year-old also took the opportunity to raise awareness to his Eastern Congo Initiative that supports the moms in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The video included footage of several moms he met during his visit to Congo.

Ben and Jen are parents to three children – 2 girls, 6 year-old Violet and 3 year-old Seraphina, and a 2 month-old boy named Samuel.

Garner, 39, who announced her pregnancy in August 2011, kept the gender of her baby under wraps. But she did joke about what she thought she was having in the press.

“I would have thought [he wanted a boy]. At first…I really thought so,” the actress told Jay Leno in January. “And then [Ben] kind of said, ‘Well, we have girls. We know how to do girls. My girls love me. I’m the big guy in the house.’ So, now I’m not sure.”

Actress Jennifer Garner finally put those pregnancy rumors to rest by confirming she is indeed expecting her third child with her husband, actor Ben Affleck. The 39 year-old actress had been walking around with what could only be a baby bump – she could not hide it anymore, so it was time to announce the good news.

The happy couple is absolutely thrilled to expand their family once again. Ben and Jen, who have been married for six years, are the proud parents to 5 year-old Violet and 2 year-old Seraphina. Hopefully, the family will be blessed with a baby boy. They will have to get really creative if they want to continue the flower name pattern.

In an interview with Ellen, Ben Affleck let it slip that his wife — actress Jennifer Garner — does pretty much all of the Christmas shopping.

He says:

“I’m not particularly proud of it. But it’s a bit of a ’50s thing, I guess,”

Normally I would frown upon these kind of gender roles, Christmas shopping is serious business.

Ben agrees:

“Because my wife is so capable and because I’m less so, she does a lot of that work, and I kind of root her on. I’m encouraging.”

“It takes her as much energy and effort to buy like the 20 gifts we’re going to buy other people as it does [for me] to buy her gift,”

“I spend the whole time fretting about that and being nervous and hoping she likes that.”

But the one present Ben can’t ask Jen to pick up for him is a gift for herself. So what is he planning to get her?

“I end up at like CVS on the 24th being like, ‘Maybe she’d like a little Godzilla that goes around,’ “

To which Ellen replies, setting Ben up for the joke:

“You talking about your wife or your kids?”

And Ben succeeds:

“My wife,”

“My kids actually would like that.”

Funny and charming! Jen has got the gift already.

What do Christian Bale, Javier Bardem, Rachel McAdams, and Olga Kurylenko have in common? Well, nothing, since Bale has been replaced by Ben Affleck in the casting of Terrence Malick’s new movie.

Ouch. Hope this doesn’t make Bale too angry.

A publicist for The Lovely Bones/Definitely, Maybe/The Constant Gardener actress Rachel Weisz reports that she has also been cast in the film, which is scheduled to begin shooting in small-town Oklahoma in October.

When the film was announced at the Berlin Film Festival it was described as a “romantic drama” and a “powerful and moving love story.”

Affleck and his wife, Jennifer Garner, have apparently been spotted around Bartlesville, as reported by Tulsa World.

I’d guess that they stand out a bit more than most folks who hang out at the local Wal-Mart.

According to Knocked Up Celebs, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have finally welcomed their second child, another baby girl, today (January 6th). Jennifer has been in and out of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center the past couples of days, probably because of some false alarms but now Violet can finally meet her little sister.

Jennifer’s rep says: “Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck gave birth to a healthy baby girl.” It wasn’t announced the name of the baby yet, but we predict another flower name… who knows?? Maybe the Afflecks can surprise us with an original weird name to top celebrity baby names this year!!

Bumpshack friend Monica Monroe sent in these photos she snagged of Ben Affleck buying magazines at LAX airport in Los Angeles over the weekend.

Monroe told me that Ben was gracious, polite, very hot and bought $33 bucks worth of magazines.  She said he didn’t purchase any gossip magazines but instead opted for “smart” magazines.

PEOPLE magazine has named actor Matt Damon as its ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ for 2007.  Others on the list included Ryan Reynolds, Patrick Dempsey, Brad Pitt, James McAvoy, Johnny Depp, Dave Annable, Will Smith, Javier Bardem, Shemar Moore, Ben Affleck, Adrian Grenier, Will Yun Lee and Justin Timberlake.

Most of those selected are well deserving but I am curious as to how Ben Affleck comes close to making this list.  Was it a package deal with buddy Matt Damon.  Did Matt say I am not accepting this honor unless you put my Boston homeboy Affleck on the list?

The ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ honor seems to just rotate among the same group of Clooney, Pitt, Damon and Depp.  Damon is good looking but the sexiest man alive?
