Ben Stiller And Christine Taylor Teach Their Kids To Give Back
Not everyone is as fortunate as Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor’s kids, Ella, 8, and Quinlin, 5 — and Ben and Christine are making sure to instill that in their young children.
Ben said:
“When you’re lucky enough to have things in your life and you’re brought up with that, it’s hard for kids to know what it’s like not to have that because that’s just not their reality,”
“You just try to point it out and try to make them aware.”
Both Ben and Christine are big with charitable contributions, and naturally their kids want to be just like them. 8-year-old Ella started a charitable lemonade stand and raised quite a bit of change.
Christine shared the story of her daughter’s profits for the needy while she was attending a fundraiser herself:
“They raised $120 – I think a few parents stopped by and dropped twenties,”
“It was great, and it’s important for their self-esteem too.”
It’s great that Ben and Christine are setting good examples for their offspring, because in Ben’s words, “they pick up the good things you do and the bad things you do.”
