Some celebrities did their best to stand out looking stunning, others were probably just begging for attention on the red carpet of the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday (September 20).

To tell the truth, it wasn’t easy to come up with a best dressed list since there were so many safe and poor fashion choices but we must mention Olivia Wilde, who looked absolutely gorgeous in a revealing Marchesa gown (more photos), and 8 month-pregnant Heidi Klum, who was not afraid to show off her HUGE bump (Heidi Klum & Seal photos).

Sarah Silverman is on our worst dressed list again and actress Victoria Rowell, who decided politics and fashion can actually mix and wore a horrible dress with President Barack Obama’s face all over it.

The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 11) in Beverly Hills, California. Our favorite celebs came out with their most fabulous outfits to WOW us at the red carpet. Most did a pretty good job, some have their own glow and others are just losing it (like Sigourney Weaver and Glenn Close).

Absolutely shiny couples at the red carpet were: Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt, Kate Winslet & Leonardo DiCaprio (not really a couple but they look great together!) and Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron. The ladies Anne Hathaway, Eva Mendes, Eva Longoria Parker, Jennifer Morrison (“House”) and Blake Lively (“Gossip Girl”) made quite an impression looking just fabulous. The most disappointing at the red carpet were: Jennifer Lopez (hideous gold dress!), Salma Hayek (white was not a good color!) and Heidi Klum (not a fan of that dress, can’t tell exactly why!).

Celebrities got another chance to shine at the first important red carpet event of the year, The 35th Annual People’s Choice Awards, and they all look sparkly and fabulous. It seems like they put a lot of thought on what to wear but if we had to name a worst dressed celeb, it would be a tie between Jordin Sparks and Nikki Cox.

As for the best dressed, we love Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Morrison’s dresses. Different styles but they both look absolutely amazing and did a great job with the hair too.

I am always pointing out the Worst Dressed Celebs so I thought I would be fair and point out some of  the Best Dressed Celebs as well.  Katie Holmes is picture perfect here in this dress she wore while out shopping a couple of weeks ago.
