Patrick Swayze’s wife, Lisa Niemi, speaks up for the first time about her relationship with the late actor, who recently died from pancreatic cancer, in a special appearance to promote the book ‘The Time Of My Life’ on Good Morning America on Tuesday (November 3).

“I’m a lucky woman to have had him,” Niemi told “Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts today. “We’ve had an incredible life together, and we got to really see that.”

“I’m hanging in there,” Niemi said, adding that she’s still “riding that wave” of grief. “When I’m good, I’m good … but I forget that two hours earlier I was dissolved on the floor.”

This book written by Lisa and Patrick celebrates the life of the actor. There is only one final chapter that addresses the trials and tribulations of Patrick’s battle against pancreatic cancer but it does not cover his death.

Lisa prefers to recall good memories of their life together like how it was like falling for Patrick, an amazing dancer with a Casanova reputation. “I was still intrigued by this mysterious, beautiful girl, but she acted as cool as ever to me,” Swayze wrote. “But then came the moment we first danced together on stage. And suddenly, everything changed.”

Tennis player Andre Agassi will launch his first autobiography ‘Open’ next month but some of his biggest secrets have already been leaked. Those shocking revelations include the use of crystal meth, a failed ATP drug test, numerous lies and a fake mohawk-mullet toupee (read more details).

Yesterday we learned that tennis legend Andre Agassi used crystal meth in the late 90’s, failed an ATP drug test, then lied to the ATP to avoid a tour suspension.  This according to excerpts from his upcoming book, ‘Open: An Autobiography.’

Today, we are just as shocked to find out that Agassi was sporting a fake mohawk-mullet toupee during that same time period according to ESPN’s Rick Reilly.

Why would a son admit how much he feared his Iranian father — feared him and hated him since the age of 7? And why — why! — would a man admit he wore perhaps the world’s only Mohawk toupee?

Agassi bucked against tennis like a horse with a two-sizes-too-small bit. But he could not escape it. And so his life became a kind of lie, from his shoelace groundstrokes to perhaps the world’s only fake Mohawk, a hairpiece that once came apart in the shower before the French Open. The day was saved by bobby pins.

My oh my! The world as seen through my childhood has now been rocked off its axis.  The ‘haired wonder’ was famous back in the day for his ‘Image is everything!’ commercials and obviously that was true for Andre (one of the only true things out of him back then).

Image is everything until two decades later you are exposed as the King of taped on mullets.

Who am I kidding? Is it really a surprise that a down on his luck, mullet man, from Las Vegas was doing crystal meth in 1997?  The more we learn, the more it all makes perfect sense.

Sportscasm: Can Andre Agassi Shut Up Now?

A new tell-all book written by Ian Halperin promises to reveal the darkest secrets of the hottest Hollywood couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. The best kept secret is that the Brangelina pseudo-marriage is a fraud, as in it’s not as perfect as they wants us to believe it is because they are really just human (GASP!).

‘Brangelina Exposed‘ promises to explain how the famous couple “have successfully manipulated the public into believing a glamorous fairytale that bears little resemblance to the reality of the pair’s life together,” according to a press release.

No marriage is a fairytale so since when is this piece of information a dark secret!?! The book also unveils new details of Angelina’s relationship with her father Jon Voight, her struggle with heroin use, suicidal impulses and sexual exploits, which is not exactly breaking news. We could write a book with numerous things we find with a simple Google search on Angie’s dark past.

And tell-all wouldn’t be a tell-all if it didn’t include the tension between the two and how they are headed straight to a nasty break up… sometime soon… in the future. “Jolie’s personal lifestyle choices are not only affecting her growing family but causing serious and potentially irreparable tensions with Pitt.”

I seriously wouldn’t waste money on this but ‘Brangelina Exposed’ is out December 1, 2009, in a bookstore near you.

‘Full House’ star Jodie Sweetin reveals incredible shocking stories of drug abuse in her new tell-all book titled ‘unSweetined’ which will be released on November 3. Jodie confessed to snort cocaine right before delivering inspirational speeches for ‘Just Say No’ to encourage students to live sober.

Jodie was living a lie but kept her relapse a secret to make quick money to pay for her drug addiction. Jodie said, “I was back to partying like I was at my worst, spending seven hundred dollars a week on meth [and] coke.”

Sweetin writes that during her sobriety college tour at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, “I thought for sure that one of the professors would take one look at me and kick me out. But none did. They wanted to hear about the trials and tribulations of Jodie Sweetin, or at least the Jodie Sweetin I had created by appearing on Good Morning America and talking to People magazine,” she continued.

“The relapse started one day, just a few months after my GMA spot, when I got a random phone call from a friend who I used with and who occasionally sold me drugs. I invited her to my place. I was in an apartment at the time. I knew it was a really bad idea to invite her over but I wanted to test myself, I guess. We hung out, played cards. I told her I hadn’t done meth in a while. One thing led to another and just like that, I was back,” she writes.

But the guilt was starting to take its toll on her. Jodie kept going and doing her speeches until one day it was too much to handle. Jodie revealed, “The little bit of coke that I had done before the speech wasn’t enough to make me forget how bad I felt for doing what I was doing. The guilt was eating away at me. I was struggling to keep it together, but no one realized that. I finished. They applauded. Standing ovation. Just how I liked it. And it was over.”

The 27 year-old, who gave birth to daughter Zoie in April 2008, has split from her husband in November 2008 and now wants to get back to save her degrading acting career.

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is ready to publish her 400-page memoir titled “Going Rogue: An American Life”, which has been described by her publisher as “her words, her life, and it’s all there in full and fascinating detail”, four months before expected on November 17.

It won’t be easy for Sarah Palin to promote her memoir, which was reportedly ghost-written by her collaborator Lynn Vincent, not only because she is asking for $100,000 per speech but also because “The big lecture buyers in the US are paralyzed with fear about booking her, basically because they think she is a blithering idiot.” Ouch!

The books drops shortly after Sarah Palin’s resignation as Governor of Alaska so maybe Levi Johnston was right about Palin wanting milk the cow while she can. “She knew that if she waited until her term ended in 2010, these opportunities would be gone,” said a source. “She would have lost millions by staying in office.”

Popular African-American author E. Lynn Harris has passed away at the age of 54 according to several sources.  Harris was an openly gay man who specialized in writing about the African-American gay culture.

Harris was best known for such successful novels as Invisible Life, Just As I Am, Too Good To Be True, Abide With Me, as well as his 2004 memoir What Becomes of The Brokenhearted. He specialized in writing about African-American gay culture, including the “down-low” phenomenon in the world of professional sports. (Basketball Jones is the story of an NBA star and his gay lover.) Born in Michigan and raised in Arkansas, Harris recently taught English at the University of Arkansas as a visiting professor.

Harris was the first male African-American cheerleader for the University of Arkanas.  He died from a heart attack while on a national tour to promote his new book ‘Basketball Jones’.

Lauren Conrad was at Davis Kidd in Nashville this week signing her book L.A. Candy for the dozens of fans that showed up.  The novel is Conrad’s first attempt at professional writing.

Lauren likely was just stretching her middle finger, but if her birdie was directed at anyone we can assume it was at her arch enemy Spencer Pratt.

Oscar winner Marlee Matlin, best known for her role in “Children of a Lesser God”, describes her troubled relationship fellow co-star William Hurt and reveals the abuse she was subjected to while they were together in her new book titled “I’ll Scream Later.”

“I was afraid. I was always afraid… of him,” Matlin told Access Hollywood’s Nancy O’Dell. “But I loved him. I did. Or maybe I thought I did. But look, I was 19, he was 35.”

“I always had fresh bruises everyday,” the actress revealed. “And if I had a split lip, or if… I mean, there were a lot of things that happened that were not pleasant.”

Marlee also claimed William raped her but she was too drugged (cocaine and pot) and afraid to leave him, so that’s why she never filed charges against him. The first deaf actress to win an Oscar hasn’t seen her abuser in a long time.

“No, not at the time. I was so wrapped up in his world and my drugs. The drugs took over my life, took over my brain. I was 19 and I was alone in New York City. I had no friends there except my drug dealer,” Matlin explained.

“I could say that I understand how women are afraid to leave an abusive relationship,” she continued. “They should, but at the same time, I understand how they don’t know how.”

The 43 year-old actress finally decided to break the silence, but she says she didn’t talk with William Hurt about him being a central part in her book and exposing their relationship. “Really, I had nothing to say to him. He knows what happened, I know what happened. We both were there,” Matlin said.

Miley Cyrus greeted some fans and signed various autographs at Barnes & Noble in New York yesterday (Mar 5). Miley is currently promoting her first autobiography, titled “Miles To Go”, at the tender age of sixteen.

Miley said she wanted to share her experiences with fans. This book is clearly written by a teenager for teenagers to read. I have to mention I was quite impressed with the writing – it’s almost like a conversation in the teen language. It’s an easy read and I seriously recommend you go get your copy.

In “Miles To Go” Miley makes some big revelations like the fact she was bullied in school and her first love, who she calls Prince Charming, was Nick Jonas. Miley tells all from the moment they met to the horrible break up (check out the Nick Jonas’ chapter at GossipTeen).

It is not easy being Miley Cyrus! In her first autobiography titled “Miles To Go“, Miley Cyrus makes some revelations that might seem a bit irrelevant for all of us who have already lived all these things and just want to forget about it, but for some kids out there it might make a difference.

Miley reveals she was a victim of bullying at school by some big and mean girls, who were probably just too jealous of her and who she calls ‘The Anti-Miley Club’. Finally when Miley saw herself in a dead end, she stood up for herself.

Miley revealed: “The girls took it beyond normal bullying. These were big, tough girls. I was scrawny and short. They were fully capable of doing me bodily harm.”
The singer-and-actress - who was once locked in a bathroom by her tormentors - says they even challenged her to a fight, which had to be halted by the school principal.

She explained: “Three girls strutted up and stood towering over me. My stomach churned. I clutched my grilled cheese sandwich like it was the hand of my best friend. It pretty much was my best friend those days. I was done for.

“They started cussing me and telling me to get up. I sat there, frozen. I didn’t know what to do. Finally, I couldn’t take it anymore. I stood up, still a foot shorter then they were, and said, ‘What’s your problem? What did I ever do to you?’”

Miley might seem way too young to write an autobiography but she does have a lot to say. I would especially recommend teenagers to read it so maybe they won’t feel so alone in this world. Amongst other things Miley gives a very passionate description of her relationship with Nick Jonas, who she claims to be her first love and calls Prince Charming.

I find it hard to believe that she has titled the book ‘Mommywood.’  Mommywood is like a more urban dictionary way to say MILF.

Tori must do anything her publisher tells her for the book. I don’t know many mothers that would pose for a cover like this with their son sitting underneath their blown out skirt.  The title of the book only confirms the gullibleness of Spelling.

Pay close attention to the paparazzi in the window making sure to get a shot of Tori’s upskirt moment.

Kendra Wilkinson, Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt were all on hand yesterday for The Girls Next Door book launch at the Forums Shops at Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas. Yes, you read that correctly. These girls have a book. But don’t worry, it’s mostly pictures of them and commentary about every single episode of seasons 1-3. If you aren’t looking for a good read but like pictures of naked girls, pick this one up.

Just looking at how they are dressed, it is obvious that the ladies have grown up a lot since they broke up with Hef and moved out of the Playboy Mansion.

Everyone is talking about the new movie Twilight based on the best-selling book written by Stephenie Meyer with the same title. The book has been described as hypnotic, a dreamy prose that perfectly encapsulates the teenage feeling of sexual tension and alienation.

“Twilight” will probably be a huge disappointment to those expecting a horror film, a lot of good special effects, a kinky, sexual vampire picture or any combination of the above. More time during this movie is spent talking about going to the prom than drinking human blood. The climactic battle takes place in a ballet studio.

Yes, I read the book and from what I have seen I’m already a bit disappointed. I really don’t believe blaring teenagers have any familiarity with reading habits so they won’t notice the difference. I hope I’m wrong…

If the movie is a good as “Buffy, The Vampire Slayer” at its best, I think teenagers won’t be that disappointed with it. Vampires are very seductive creatures and even if it’s all fiction I still understand the buzz about this movie.

Much anticipated movie Twilight, based on Stephenie Meyer’s bestseller with the same title, premiered at the Mann Village Theater yesterday in California. Fans have gone crazy in anticipation and the stars Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) and Kristen Stewart (Isabella Swan) confessed they weren’t exactly prepared for the entire buzz around this movie.

Robert Pattinson said: “This is crazier and louder than I was prepared for,” running his fingers through his trademark floppy locks and looking sharp-dressed goth in his fitted black suit. “With every week, the fervor and anticipation seems to grow. This is my life. People know my name and ambush me in public and try to figure out what hotel I’m staying at and ask me to bite them and want to touch my hair. I have accepted it as real now, but it still feels surreal.”

Kristen Stewart said: “I’ve been to a lot of premieres, and none of them have ever been as big as this. Maybe if I had been alive during the days of the Beatles it would be different, but I have never been moved enough to camp out for someone or something. The fact that people did that for our movie is heavy. I just hope they think it was worth it after they see the movie.”

I think expectations are so high for this movie, it is only set to disappoint. I have just finished reading Twilight today! It sure made a big impact on how I see myself and my own messy relationships. I can’t wait to start reading “New Moon“.

First disappointment for me was the choice of actor Robert Pattinson for the role of the mysterious Edward Cullen… I was expecting someone more breathtaking but once you read what Edward is like, I guess it all fades in comparison.

I’m just wondering why everyone looked so pale at the Twilight premiere red carpet arrivals. It all seems kind of creepy! We know they are not really vampires… but Kristen looks like she is just dazzled by the whole experience or maybe she is completely high.

Best selling author Michael Crichton, who wrote such international best sellers as ‘Jurassic Park’, ‘Timeline’ and ‘The Andromeda Strain’, has died according to his family.

Crichton had been battling cancer.  He was 66-years-old.

Johnny Carson was a miserable soul and unloving dad according to a new biography by Henry Bushkin.  Bushkin was Carson’s attorney and manager for dozens of years.  The book is very uncomplimentary to Carson and shows a side of him that many of us never knew existed.

* Was so miserable at the top of his game that he constantly “questioned his own ability to have happiness in his life.”

* Enjoyed the use of a 10,000-square-foot penthouse with a private pool at Caesars Palace when he played Vegas and routinely entertained the “18 beautiful girls in the chorus line that opened his act . . . and he was certainly involved with some of them.”

* Refused to visit his son, Rick, when he was committed to Bellevue with severe emotional problems. “The kid was there for 4½ months and he never went. I had to take care of everything and was there almost every day. Rick [who died in a car crash in 1991] was a lovely human being.”

* Abandoned many of his closest friends, including Bushkin, who says, “At one time we did everything together. At the end, he treated me like everybody else - like I didn’t exist. At the end, it was like I was an irritant. In many respects, he was the saddest guy I ever knew.”

Bushkin mentions it, as well as my wife to me many times, that comedians are often dark and troubled souls with many personal issues they battle.  It should be no real surprise that this was true with Carson as well. Comedians usually use comedy to help deal with and exhaust many of their own demons.

Maureen McCormick, who use to play Marcia Brady on The Brady Bunch, in her new tell-all book goes into much detail about what an addict she was and everything that she would do for drugs.  She states in one passage that she traded sex for cocaine and let a man at the Playboy Mansion video her for drugs as well.

McCormick says she traded sex for drugs with a Hollywood cocaine dealer who later went to jail, and once allowed an older man she met at the Playboy Mansion to videotape her naked in exchange for drugs.

She began to “free-base” cocaine with a music-industry boyfriend and the two once spent a week binging in a hotel room with a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door.

Naturally she blames her problems on the rough life of having played such a good teenage girl on The Brady Bunch. So pathetic!  It must really suck to have fame and residuals to live on the rest of your life for work you did nearly 40 years ago.  On a positive note Maureen looks pretty good for a jaded 52-year-old.

Investigative author Jerome Corsi has been detained by the government in Kenya just as he was just about to hold a press conference to announce his findings about Barack Obama’s dealings with the country.

Corsi, the author of the No. 1 best-selling book “The Obama Nationa,” as picked up by authorities at his hotel at 9:45 a.m. and is being detained at Nyayo House, the provincial headquarters for Nairobi.

“Just as we were about to start the 10 a.m. press conference at the Grand Regency Hotel in Nairobi, Kenyan immigration approached us and detained us. Tim Bueler, my publicist, and I are now in the immigration offices with our passports taken. The immigration officer told the press, ‘There is no problem, and Dr. Corsi is a friend of Kenya.’”

Corsi had extensive meetings with top Kenyan officials upon his arrival. His visit and his activities during his stay have been well-known to authorities at the highest levels.

Corsi wrote “The Obama Nationa,” which is highly critical of Obama and his dealings with controversial figures.  Corsi has been in Kenya investigating

Corsi had promised a news conference today that would “expose details of deep secret ties between U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and a section of Kenya government leaders, their connection to certain sectoral groups in Kenya and subsequent plot to be executed in Kenya should Senator Obama win the American presidency.”

Corsi told WND he has been assured he will be released soon. He had planned to leave the country tomorrow, arriving in London first and the U.S. Friday.

It will be interesting to see what findings Corsi found on his trip and if they are that explosive.  One has to wonder with the government arresting him right before his press conference that there must be something not kosher with what he unearthed.
