Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain has a new twist to his Casanova-like campaign with alleged mistress Ginger White, from Atlanta, coming forward with the allegations of a 13-year affair according to Fox 5 Atlanta.

Cain’s campaign has been dogged by claims of sexual harassment while he was in charge of the National Restaurant Association.

Cain has denied the affair and basically told the media that his private life is his private life.

“Mr. Cain has been informed today that your television station plans to broadcast a story this evening in which a female will make an accusation that she engaged in a 13-year long physical relationship with Mr. Cain. This is not an accusation of harassment in the workplace – this is not an accusation of an assault – which are subject matters of legitimate inquiry to a political candidate.

Rather, this appears to be an accusation of private, alleged consensual conduct between adults – a subject matter which is not a proper subject of inquiry by the media or the public. No individual, whether a private citizen, a candidate for public office or a public official, should be questioned about his or her private sexual life. The public’s right to know and the media’s right to report has boundaries and most certainly those boundaries end outside of one’s bedroom door.

Mr. Cain has alerted his wife to this new accusation and discussed it with her. He has no obligation to discuss these types of accusations publicly with the media and he will not do so even if his principled position is viewed unfavorably by members of the media.”

The affairs have not ended his chances for the Republican nomination but they have no doubt hurt him as he continues to drop in the polls.

(Indianapolis, Indiana) The massive stage at the Indiana State Fair collapsed on Saturday night after singer Sara Bareilles performance when a strorm swept through with high winds.

Bareilles had just finished her set with country group Sugarland set to take the stage next.

“A big gust of wind came through. You could see a lot of people panicking. All the scaffolding and speakers — all that came crashing down — and the whole stand just collapsed,” said Aaron Richman, who witnessed the collapse at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis.

As you can see in the shocking video (above), the stage collapsed very quickly.

Country superstar Keith Urban upon seeing the footage tweeted the following:

“I just saw the footage from Indiana State Fair tonight on youtube and am absolutely in shock. We send our prayers and thoughts to each and everyone of you who were there and your families and loved ones as well. God bless you all” – KU

Four people have been confirmed dead with dozens more injured.

Officials said that the State Fair will be closed tomorrow.

Casey Anthony was sentenced to 4 years in jail for lying to police on Thursday by Florida judge Belvin Perry.

Judge Perry sentenced her to 1 year in jail for each count of lying to the police.  She will likely be released in August as she has already served 997 days in jail while awaiting and during her trial.

Anthony was found NOT GUILTY of killing her 2-year old daughter, Caylee Anthony, earlier this week. A verdict that shocked America.

However, life for Anthony outside of prison will likely be much tougher than it would have been for her in it.

Casey Anthony was found NOT GUILTY of killing her 2-year old daughter Caylee Anthony on Monday morning in a Florida courtroom.

The verdict angered many that had been keeping up with the story over the past three  years.  It took Casey 31 days to report to police that her daughter was missing.

However, she was found guilty on four counts of providing police with false information.  She will be sentenced on Thursday and could be given four years in prison for the false statements, one year for each count.

Anthony’s attorney, Jose Baez, was gleaming and giddy after the verdict as he laid into the national media for  what he called the ‘media assassination’ of Casey.

After some pretty intense backlash regarding his Tweet about the death of Ryan Dunn, film critic, Roger Ebert has issued an apology.

Sort of.

The film critic released a statement saying that he was “Probably to quick to Tweet” about the incident and that his post was not “intended as cruel.”  Tell that to Bam Margera.

Don’t you love how celebrities only apologize for things once they realize their actions are unpopular?

Ebert went on to add,

To begin with, I offer my sympathy to Ryan Dunn’s family and friends, and to those of Zachary Hartwell, who also died in the crash. I mean that sincerely. It is tragic to lose a loved one

Okay Roger, I’m listening…

I also regret that my tweet about the event was considered cruel. It was not intended as cruel. It was intended as true… know that nobody has any business driving on a public highway at 110 mph, as some estimated — or fast enough, anyway, to leave a highway and fly through 40 yards of trees before crashing… That is especially true if the driver has had three shots and three beers. Two people were killed. What if the car had crashed into another car?

Aaaand you lost me.

I get what you’re trying to say here Rog, but is this really the time to climb up on a soapbox?  It’s a high profile example of what drunk driving can lead to, but have a little compassion, will you?  Ryan Dunn and Zachary Hartwell have barely been dead 24 hours and you’re already trying to make an example out of them.  If you must cruicfy them for your cause, at least give their loved ones a chance to grieve!

WMC-TV 5 out of Memphis is reporting that two female postal workers were killed this morning at the U.S. Post Office in Henning, Tennessee.

Henning is located in Lauderdale County with a population of around 1,000 people.  The small town is the resting place of the late Alex Haley who wrote Roots.  His grave lays next to his boyhood home in Henning.

It lies half-way in between Memphis and Jackson, Tennessee due north.

The killer(s) remain on the loose. The USPS has issued a $25,000 reward for any information that might lead to who did this heinous crime.

Actor Gary Coleman has died after suffering a brain hemorrhage as the result of a fall at a hospital in Utah on Friday (May 28)- read more details here. Gary was 42 years old.

Two Pentagon police officers were shot at the D.C. Metro Station just yards away from the heavily guarded Pentagon.

The alleged gunman was also shot and wounded according to 9 News.  All three injured persons are being treated at George Washington hospital in D.C.

The Pentagon is under lock-down, no one is allowed to enter or exit at this time.

UPDATE: The shooter has been identified as John Patrick Bedell of Hollister, California.  The 36-year old Bedell, who lived with his parents, died this morning.

The two Pentagon police officers that Bedell shot have been identified as Officer Jeffrey Amos and Officer Marvin Carraway.

Singer Britney Spears has been driven and escorted by the police to the children’s wing of UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles on Monday (February 8), according to X17. It didn’t seem to be an emergency but her children (sons Sean Preston and Jayden James) weren’t with her, so it’s possible they needed medical attention.

Charlie Sheen’s wife Brooke Mueller, who recently accused him of domestic violence, has been admitted to an LA hospital and is reportedly in the ICU. Brooke, who had a temperature of 105, is possibly suffering from pneumonia, which will make it impossible for her to appear at a court hearing with her husband on Friday.

The Orange County firefighters responded to a medical call received at 2:36 am at the resident of Tiger Woods and an adult female was transported to the Health Central Hospital on Tuesday (December 8). A middle-aged woman was taken on a stretcher through an emergency entrance. The ambulance was followed by a black Escalade, reportedly driven by a younger blonde woman, similar to the one Tiger crashed right after Thanksgiving.

If Tiger’s wife, Elin Nordegren, really just moved out, who is this woman? And what exactly happened? The woman taken in the ambulance is most probably Elin’s mother, a Swedish politician named Barbro Holmberg, who reportedly arrived in the USA last Friday.
