Rocker Avril Lavigne and her boyfriend, former The Hills star Brody Jenner, have reportedly amicably decided to go their separate ways and break up, after almost two years together.

One of the main reasons for the couple’s disagreements was “the marriage” since Avril wanted to settle down and start a family, while Brody was not ready to say goodbye to his Bachelor lifestyle.

“They decided to end their relationship,” a source tells Life & Style. “It wasn’t working out, and they wanted to go their separate ways.”

“She wanted to settle down, but he wasn’t exactly ready,” another source tellsLife & Style. “They had been having problems starting in the summer with her tour because she was on the road all the time.”

Before starting to date Brody, the 27 year-old was married to Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley. Avril married Deryck on July 15, 2005, but the “Sk8er Boy” singer filed for divorce more than three years later. They were officially divorced on November 16, 2010.

Reality star Brody Jenner was hit in the head with a bottle when he tried to break a chick fight between his girlfriend, punk singer Avril Lavigne, and an unknown woman at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel early Sunday morning (November 6).

Poor Brody was simply trying to defend his girl who seems to have quite a temper. Hotel security had to intervene and detain Brody and others involved in the brawl before they called the cops.

When the authorities arrived Brody, who was listed as the victim of assault with a deadly weapon, was the only one willing to talk. The other people involved simply split. Brody’s girlfriend didn’t have the decency to stand by her man. Avril was most likely too wasted to speak to the cops.

Brody refused medical attention and actually went to the hospital on his own. Where was Avril? Seriously? Your boyfriend is a total gentleman, tries to defend your honor, gets hit in the head with a bottle and you just disappear?

Was Brody somehow involved with the other woman in this equation? That could explain the cat fight, but not why Avril totally disappeared before the cops showed up. We foreshadow trouble in paradise for Brody and Avril.

Broody and his former girlfriend/friend/“sister” Kristin Cavallari were the special guests of the special Hills finale party and they talked a bit about the show (watch video below). Brody also talked about the alternative finale, which included the return of Lauren Conrad. And Speidi? No one really talked about those two. Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are like “persona non grata” at The Hills.

“We filmed a couple different endings and we didn’t know which one they were gonna use. There were some other ones that were great as well,” Brody teased about the LC ending. “One of the other endings, Lauren was in it. She had come back into the show for the last episode. I come back home, and basically Lauren’s at my place [and I tell her about saying goodbye to a friend]. We filmed this whole lovey-dovey scene as if me and Lauren had been together this entire time. So it was another fun, cool ending. … I think they thought it would confuse the viewers.”

“That day of filming it was surreal to me because they wouldn’t tell me what we were filming,” he continued. “I think the show has always battled with what’s real and what’s fake, and this ending was perfect because you still don’t know what was real, what was fake and it’s kind of like L.A. in a sense. I thought it was very clever and I was happy with it. I was stoked they were ending it with me. I was flattered.”

So is it real? Well, yes and no. “I would say it’s entertainment and just enjoy it; don’t question it too much. There were a lot of moments that were real and a lot of moments that were not so real.”

Playmate Jayde Nicole and her boyfriend Brody Jenner were celebrating his birthday at the Guys and Dolls club in Los Angeles on Thursday night (August 27), when Jayde notice Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis harassing one of her friends, his ex-girlfriend.

Jayde reportedly threw a drink on Joe and he just snapped, pulled her hair, punched her face and threw her to the ground to kick her. Just when security got to break it up, Brody taking note of the situation follows him and both Joe and Brody ended up being thrown out of the nightclub.

Once outside Brody punched Joe in the face and was tased and fell to the grown while Joe quickly left the scene. Cops were called, no one was arrested but Jayde, who was left with a black and blue cheek, her face is swollen, a bruised left rib and sore lower abdomen, said she will press charges against Joe Francis.

Brody Jenner used his Twitter to express his indignation about the incidents last night. Brody tweeted, “Joe Francis needs to be in jail!!! How can you call yourself a man when you beat up a girl?? Joe Francis is a piece of shit. Joe Francis beat up my lady this morning for no reason! Pulled her to the ground, punched & kicked her..what does that say about him?”
