Why Russell? Probably because he is British!?! And why didn’t they ask Adele to sing a couple of Amy’s songs? It would have been the perfect fit. Adele and Amy were nothing alike, but Adele’s voice combined with Amy’s dark lyrics would have been totally magical. Of course, Bruno Mars did a fantastic job.

Russell said Amy was an “ordinary girl with extraordinary hair”, describing her voice as the sound “a roar from the guts of humanity.” Adding, “She was suffering from alcoholism and drug addiction. A lot of people just get the disease, not many people get the incredible talent Amy was blessed with.”
