Carrie Underwood Covers May ‘InStyle’

In Style Carrie Underwood Cover

Season four American Idol winner Carrie Underwood is on the cover of the May 2008 issue of In Style magazine.

“I’ve been cheated on a time or two. It’s tough,” she tells InStyle in the May issue, on newsstands Friday. “I wouldn’t recommend doing any property damage, though,” she laughs, a reference to her Grammy-winning song “Before He Cheats” about a woman who trashes her boyfriend’s truck.

“Now I’m to the point where you get one shot. Life’s too short,” adds the Season 4 American Idol champ, who says that dessert is one way she heals from heartache.

Carrie trust the entire world when it says you are a lot better off without Tony Romo and Chace Crawford.

Carrie Underwood Denies Ever Dating Tony Romo

Carrie Underwood Women’s Health

Carrie Underwood, in the Jan/Feb issue of Women’s Health, denies that she and Tony Romo were ever dating last year.  She had this to say to the women’s mag:

“He was not my boyfriend and we were never dating. The more I screamed ‘We’re not dating!’ the more headlines claimed that we were a couple or that I was crying because he was out with another girl. We’re really good friends, we hang out a lot, and we’re close…well, friends smooch occasionally.

She also had these things to say in the article:

On being a vegetarian:
“There was a traumatic incident that made me stop eating beef…And it hit me that these cute little animals that were running around playing would become someone’s dinner.  Eating them made me feel guilty.â€?

On watching her diet and staying thin:
“
The older I get, the harder it is to splurge without consequences.  I love food.  Chocolate and cheese and anything that’s bad for me.  I’ll be really good when I’m at home so I can eat what I want to when I’m out with friends.

On what the gossip mags and message boards have to say:
“
Occasionally I’ll be on the Internet and see something about me and give in to the urge to click on it.  It’s hard not to.  Usually I wish I didn’t.

Britney Spears Tops Music Charts Once Again

Britney Spears new album ‘Blackout‘ is the number one album in the country after its first week or release.  It sold 350,000 copies and was able to hold off the sophomore effort of country sensation Carrie Underwood.

“Blackout” remains the No. 1 downloaded album on iTunes and the fifth bestselling CD on Amazon.com. Spears could have a good second week as well, while she awaits the Nov. 13 release of Alicia Key’s anticipated blockbuster, “As I Am.” At that point, “Blackout” will likely be over unless a new single captivates radio listeners.

The Blackout numbers, though, are severely down from Spears’s last release. When “In the Zone” was released in 2003, it sold 609,000 copies in its first week.

Look for Underwood’s album ‘Carnival Ride‘ to sell more albums overall than ‘Blackout’ when all is said and done.

Carrie Underwood Sings ‘Kickstart My Heart’ with Vince Neil

Country superstar Carrie Underwood was caught on tape at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, Tennessee singing ‘Kickstart My Heart’ with Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil.

The audio towards the end is horrible and the camera angle is equally as shoddy but you get the idea.

Carrie is one cool chick getting on stage and singing a metal song with the Motley front man. The first cassette single I owned was ‘Kickstart My Heart’. (Yeah cassette single…I know some of you remember them.)

New Carrie Underwood ‘So Small’ Lyrics

Yesterday I posted about Bumpshacker Luke Laird’s new song ‘So Small’ that he has written with Carrie Underwood and fellow songwriter Hillary Lindsey for Underwood’s upcoming album. Luke still claims the song title is NOT autobiographical.

Check out the video here.

The lyrics to the song are below and you can listen to a radio rip of the song here.

SO SMALL Lyrics by Luke Laird, Hillary Lindsey and
Carrie Underwood

What you got if you ain’t got love?
The kind that you just wanna give away
It’s okay to open up
Go ahead and let the light shine through

I know it’s hard on a rainy day
You wanna shut the world out and just be let alone
But don’t run out on your faith

Coz sometimes that mountain you’ve been climbing is just a grain of sand
And what you’ve been out there searching forforever is in your hand
When you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else seem so small

It’s so easy to get lost inside
A problem that seems so big the other time
is like a river that’s so wide
It swallows you whole
Why you sitting around thinking about what you can’t change
and worrying about all the wrong things
And time’s flying by
Moving so fast
You’d better make it count
Coz you can’t get it back

Coz sometimes that mountain you’ve been climbing is just a grain of sand
And what you’ve been out there searching for forever is in your hand
When you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else seem so small

Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

Sometimes that mountain you’ve been climbing is just a grain of sand
And what you’ve been out there searching for forever is in your hand
Oh and when you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else
Oh, it sure makes everything else seem so small

Luke Laird Writes New Carrie Underwood Hit

Photo: Luke Laird

Original Bumpshacker and long-time friend Luke Laird has written another country music hit. Carrie Underwood’s current single, ‘So Small’, that was just released to radio stations across the country was co-written by Luke, Hillary Lindsey (’Jesus Take the Wheel’, Sara Evans, Keith Urban, Bon Jovi, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood, Leeanne Womack) and Underwood.

Be sure to request the song ‘So Small’ on CMT and country radio to help make it #1 on the country charts.

Check out the lyrics here and watch the video here.

Laird has written hit songs for several country artists that include Tim McGraw (’Put Your Lovin On Me’) and Carrie Underwood.

Jordin Sparks Wins ‘American Idol 6′

Photo: Jordin Sparks

Seventeen-year-old Jordin Sparks beat out beat-boxer Blake Lewis to win season six of American Idol.

I had never seen a season of Idol before this year and I didn’t miss but one or two episodes in the process.  Jordin deserved to win this competition.  Jordin was the best overall package on the show this year.  She will only be more and more packaged in the next few months as she works on her debut album.

Performers on last nights show included Gwen Stefani (via feed from her live concert), Kelly Clarkson, Smokey Robinson, top six male finalists, Doug E. Fresh (beat-boxing with Blake), top six female finalists, Gladys Knight, Tony Bennett, BeBe and CeCe Winans, Carrie Underwood, Sanjaya Malakar with Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, Green Day, Taylor Hicks, Ruben Studdard, Bette Middler (what the heck was that about….horrific), Kelly Clarkson (again…please, once was enough), Taylor Hicks (again….better than the first time), Carrie Underwood (again), and Ruben (again).

What a bunch of show filler at the end. So much that it ran over the alloted TIVO time schedule.  I had to get on the phone to find out.

Congratulations to Miss Jordin Sparks. You have a huge career ahead of you……and a birthday coming up where you will then be able to see R-rated movies.

Carrie Underwood is HOT!

Photo: Carrie Underwood 1

Carrie Underwood is super sexy as well as extremely talented don’t you think?  I use to doubt American Idol and if the winners could be true super stars but several have proved they can….with the exception of Clay Aiken.
