American Idol Adam Lambert, who has come out of the closet and openly revealed to be gay, posed for a racy photo shoot with a hot and completely nude model featured in the latest issue of Details Magazine (November 2009).

Adam talks about being a sex symbol and being the object of many women’s fantasies, which is just part of the job. The AI runner-up also admits it’s flattering having girls throwing her bras at him and confesses he likes to kiss pretty women… we wonder what his boyfriend Drake LaBry (photos) thinks about this!?!

Here are some highlights from Adam Lambert’s Details Magazine interview:

On kissing women: “I am gay, but I like kissing women sometimes. Women are pretty. It doesn’t mean I’m necessarily sleeping with them.”

On bras being thrown at him onstage: “I think it’s weird that I’m having this effect on women. It’s flattering. I’ve never had underwear thrown at me before. Clearly there’s something significant about it, because there aren’t a lot of openly gay men in the entertainment industry.”

On comparing himself to Brad Pitt: “I don’t see how all this is any different than — let’s take a modern sex symbol like Brad Pitt. How many of these women who fantasize about him actually get to sleep with him?… It’s all fantasy — that’s what entertainment is. I’m here to entertain you, and if my sexuality is apparent and you respond to it, and you’re attracted to it, then great, I’m doing my job. It ain’t happening anyway!”

American Idol season 1 runner-up, Justin Guarini, and Reina Capodici have tied the knot (photo below) at a private estate in Justin’s hometown of Doylestown, PA on Saturday (September 26). The couple have known each other since high school but only recently started dating.

“I’ve traveled all over the world but I found the woman I love right in my own backyard,” Guarini said. “I’ve known Reina since I was 15 but we didn’t actually start dating until two years ago … Her mother was my English teacher in junior high school!”

Reina has a 4 year-old daughter named Lola from a previous marriage. Congratulations to the newlyweds!!

Former American Idol judge Paula Adbul released a statement to address the official news that talk show host Ellen DeGeneres would replace her as the new fourth judge in the famous talent show.

Paula said, “AMERICAN IDOL is a fantastic show that offers an invaluable platform to young talent. Ellen DeGeneres is wildly funny and talented in her own right. I wish her and the show only the best of luck.”
Paula later tweeted, “I think Ellen will b a gr8 judge on Idol. She is wildly funny, talented and I wish her the best of luck!”

Paula seems to be taking the news pretty well, who would have thought!?! I was totally waiting for a catfight. Ellen was clearly worried about Paula’s reaction when interviewed by Ryan Seacrest, saying,  “I hope Paula is okay with it. I don’t want anybody to think I took Paula’s job away. I feel like she was gone and then everybody was looking for somebody else, then I stepped in.”

Earlier tonight we announced that Ellen DeGeneres will be replacing Paula Abdul as the 4th judge on American Idol.  Feedback on that news has been mixed to say the least.  So what do you think of the selection: Match made in heaven or the beginning of the end of Idol?

And the fourth American Idol judge is going to be…Ellen DeGeneres. I am still hoping this will turn out to be false, but Ellen made the announcement at the taping of her talk show today. See the video above.

I love Ellen as much as the next person, but what a bad casting choice here. I was not the biggest Paula Abdul fan, but I am already missing her. The two most recent additions to Idol, Ellen and Kara DioGuardi, have been bad calls in my opinion.

So as it stands now, the four judges for next year will be Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi, and Ellen DeGeneres.

Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham has confirmed she will be a judge on the new season of the famous talent show American Idol. The 35 year-old mother-of-three will make a “one-off appearance” as a guest judge but will not become a permanent judge because she is reportedly too busy with her fashion line.

The news come just a couple of days after former judge Paula Abdul revealed on Twitter she wouldn’t be returning for a new season of the show. We take Paula won’t be replaced by one person but there will be different guest judges every week.

Alexis Cohen, who auditioned for American Idol, back in 2008 & 2009 (season 8), was found dead on the streets of Seaside Heights, New Jersey early this morning.

A 25-year-old Allentown, Pa. woman and former contestant on the television show American Idol was found dead at about 4 a.m. today outside at Dupont Avenue and Bay Boulevard, authorities said.

Alexis Cohen had auditioned in January 2008 in Philadelphia, and claimed “I march to a beat of a different drummer” in a 2007 American Idol interview on YouTube. She compared her singing talent to that of Janis Joplin, Grace Slick and Pat Benatar.

She was one of the more colorful and rememberable characters to appear on Idol. If you view her rejection tirade in the video above you can probably start to put the pieces together a bit.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Alexis.

According to manager, David Sonenberg, Paula Abdul is not happy and is ready to not return for the ninth season of the popular talent show, “American Idol”. David says Paula is hurt and angry with a holdup on her contract negotiations.

“I find it under these circumstances particularly unusual; I think unnecessarily hurtful,” Paula’s manager said. “I find it kind of unconscionable and certainly rude and disrespectful that they haven’t stepped up and said what they want to do.”

Apparently while the show’s producers are too busy making multi-million dollar deals with host Ryan Seacrest and judge Simon Cowell, Paula hasn’t yet received a proposal for a new contract therefore she is most likely not going back on ‘Idol’.

Paula turned to Twitter to address the subject and to thank fans for all the support during this difficult time in her career.

”I’m actually moved 2 tears upon reading the enormous amount of tweets showing me your kindness, love, & undying support. God bless all of you!,” she Tweeted. “If it weren’t for you, this specific time and situation would feel a whole lot worse!”

I can’t believe they are letting Paula go… please take Kara DioGuardi! Keep Abdul!! However, this could be a strategy to get Paula a better deal. Auditions for season nine of American Idol will start next month and the show will return in January, 2010.

‘American Idol’ judge Kara DioGuardi and her longtime boyfriend Mike McCuddy, a 34 year-old teacher-turned-general contractor, tied the knot in a beautiful private ceremony at the United Methodist Church in Prospect Harbor, Maine, on Sunday (July 5).

Kara told InTouch: “I feel great. What was most unbelievable about the experience was when I looked out at the church and saw all these people that were so important to me and Mike, who were there for us. It was pretty powerful. I was very emotional and I’m not somebody who breaks down and cries.”

The lovebirds, who met when Mike built the house next to Kara’s in Maine and got engaged in December 2008, exchanged vows in front of 30 guests. The bride wore a beautiful Vera Wang gown. We will update with more photos of the wedding as soon as they became available!

American Idol runner-up David Archuleta’s father, Jeff Archuleta, was busted for receiving sexual gratification from a naughty masseuse wearing sexy lingerie at a Reiki massage parlor in Midvale, Utah on January 14, 2009.

“His intent going into the massage parlor was to receive sexual gratification so we cited him for solicitation of prostitution,” Midvale Police Sergeant John Salazar said. “The male customer received sexual gratification at the hands of the masseuse.”

When asked about the alleged confession to Midvale Police, Archuleta’s attorney, Erik Bauer, said, “Oh, I don’t know what those police officers say, I mean, who knows what they say. He did not go there for sex and that was it and pure, plain and simple that’s the way it was.”

Jeff, who was charged for solicitation of prostitution, pleaded no contest and paid a $582 fine but now he is telling another story. His lawyer Eric Bauer claims Jeff was getting massage therapy for his back and was unlucky enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert graces the cover of the latest issue of Rolling Stone Magazine. As expected Adam reveals to be proudly gay: “I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear I’m gay. I’ve been living in Los Angeles for eight years as a gay man. I’ve been at clubs drunk making out with somebody in the corner.”

Adam does not mention his boyfriend Drake LaBry (photos), which is a bit disappointing since I was waiting for an emotional love confession. Here are some highlights from Adam Lambert’s Rolling Stone interview:

On getting out of the closet for Rolling Stone: “Right after the finale, I almost started talking about it to the reporters, but I thought, ‘I’m going to wait for Rolling Stone, that will be cooler. I’m proud of my sexuality.”

On being stereotyped: “Clay Aiken’s gay, and I’m gay, and we couldn’t be more different. The only thing that is the same about everyone in the gay community is that we’re gay. … Why can’t we talk about a human community?”

Adam’s secret crush on Kris Allen: “They put me with the cute guy. Distracting! He’s the one guy I found attractive in the whole group on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type — except that he has a wife. I mean he’s open-minded and liberal, but he’s definitely 100% straight.”

UPDATE: Adam Lambert “I’m Gay!” Rolling Stone Cover

American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert has done nothing to end the speculation about his sexual orientation but the announcement that he is, in fact gay, is expected soon. Judge Kara DioGuardi basically just outed Adam on a recent visit to “The View”.

Adam admits he isn’t upset about Kara’s comments on his sexuality, saying: “Their asking the same questions everyone else is asking and Kara was just being honest, she’s a good friend of mine now that we’ve recorded together and I don’t think she did anything wrong.” Yep, I think that means Kara is right and Adam couldn’t care less…

When asked about his relationship with alleged boyfriend Drake LaBry, who he was recently seen holding hands with (photos here), Adam refused to answer. We expect Adam to fully come out of the right open closet in the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone Magazine.

We can wait to see Adam on the cover of Rolling Stone! I think it will be pretty interesting reading what he has to say about his sexuality and how/if it affected the American Idol outcome.

American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert naturally came out of the closet by leaving the Guys and Dolls nightclub holding hands with his super hot boyfriend, Drake LaBry (photo), on Monday (June 1).

Adam’s sexual orientation has been subject of gossip since the first photos of him dressed in drag and kissing a guy came out (photos here) but he always refused to comment. Kara DioGuardi claims Adam’s sexuality was never a secret: “I don’t think that Adam was ever in [the closet]. I think he was always openly out.”

Glambert is expected to declare his love for boyfriend Drake in the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone Magazine.

American Idol winner Kris Allen and runner-up Adam Lambert appeared together this morning on the Today Show.  They discussed many topics, including their friendship, and how the AT&T voting scandal wasn’t really even a scandal.

American Idol sponsor AT&T has been linked to “power texting” parties that could have possibly changed the outcome of this season’s finale results. AT&T have reportedly provided Kris Allen fans with “power text” phones and tips on how to send 10 text messages at the touch of one single button.

“Power texting” is considered a violation of American Idol’s voting rules against the use of “technical enhancements” to bump voting. Both AT&T and Fox have released statements to clear up these rumors that have begun on various Adam Lambert’s fan forums.

AT&T released the following statement:

“Last week, countless parties were held in homes, bars, and other public places across America to watch the ‘American Idol’ finale. In Arkansas, a few local AT&T employees were invited to attend two local watch parties organized by the community. Caught up in the enthusiasm of rooting for their hometown contestant, they brought a small number of demo phones with them and provided texting tutorials to those who were interested. Going forward, we will make sure our employees understand our sponsorship celebrates the competition, not individual contestants. That said, it’s quite a leap to suggest that a few individuals could have impacted the final results.”

Fox and “Idol” producers 19 Entertainment and FremantleMedia released a statement saying Kris is indeed the winner:

“Fox and the producers of ‘American Idol’ are absolutely certain that the results of this competition are fair, accurate and verified. Kris Allen is, without a doubt, the American Idol. We have an independent third-party monitoring procedure in place to ensure the integrity of the voting process. In no way did any individuals unfairly influence the outcome of the competition.”

This just doesn’t make much sense mathematically speaking. It was reported that 80 or less free “power text” phones were distributed on Kris Allen’s fan parties. But there were more than 100 million votes to decide the winner and Fox had already stated Allen won by a wide margin.

Kris Allen won!! Adam is great too!! It’s time to let it go! They will both have successful careers… Adam’s chances are even bigger now that he lost!

It seems like Adam Lambert doesn’t get any love from American Idol season three runner-up Clay Aiken! You would think Clay, who came out of the closet and knows exactly how hard it is to be a gay ‘Idol’, would be a bit more compassionate…

In a recent blog post titled “Silence broken”, Clay says Adam was awful, frightening and made his ears bleed. Clay, that is not a nice thing to say about a fellow ‘Idol’!!

Clay wrote: “Now that it’s all over, and for the record…. I couldn’t be happier about the way AI ended this year. I only turn the show on once a season, and only to see what the set looks like each year. This year, I happened to turn it during the minute that Adam Lambert was singing ‘Ring of Fire’ and, at that moment, thought my ears would bleed. Contrived, awful, and slightly frightening!”

“I wasn’t really a fan and found myself surprised whenever folks told me that they liked him. Granted, I never saw another performance (and many folks who I trust said that he was great) but I can’t imagine I would have enjoyed it. Just not my cup of tea at all.”

“I never saw Kris sing on the show, but whether he was good or not is really relative. It’s usually a matter of taste, right? But Idol is not always a matter of musical taste only. It’s about the person you like. From what little I saw, Kris seemed likable. (That’s not to say that Adam isn’t just as likable as anyone.. maybe more so… I don’t know).”

If you don’t have something nice to say just shut up! I bet Clay is totally jealous “American Idol” finally has a cute gay guy with some talent on the show! It seems like Clay might also be bitter for being denied a duet with the same frightening Adam Lambert.

Many pundits were surprised with the American Idol results on Wednesday when it was announced that Kris Allen had defeated Adam Lambert to take home the title. Well, it is starting to be leaked out that the results weren’t really that close and that Kris beat Adam rather handily.

A top FOX source told Access Hollywood that the vote left Kris as the clear winner by a large margin.

Allen’s win came as no surprise to me, and I actually predicted it several days before, but I am surprised he won by a large margin.  Both contestants will be remembered for their amazing vocals and talent.  Lambert and Allen are both going to have very successful careers and make a lot of money.

I am sure Adam’s pride was hurt by not winning.  He is obviously a very competitive person, but he now is on the verge dominating a music industry that has become very weak in recent years.

What happened to Nikki McKibbin?? Nikki McKibbin came third place behind Justin Guarini and Kelly Clarkson on the first season of the famous talent show American Idol back in 2002. Nikki attended American Idol season eight finale on Wednesday (May 20).

Since the tragic loss of her mother, Nikki has gained a lot of weight and ended up in the hospital for a rumored suicide attempt, which was promptly denied by the ‘Idol’.
