Lindsay Lohan completed her 90-day court-ordered rehab today but she’s not off the hook just yet.
The judge who put her into the rehabilitation program earlier this year has ordered Lohan to attend therapy sessions for the next 16 months “to help avoid relapsing.”
The decision was made hours after Lohan checked out of her rehab program at Cliffside in Malibu. In a letter to the judge, Cliffside said that the actress had “successfully completed her court-ordered course of treatment at the center.” The clinic added it is “critical” that she attends court-ordered therapy, suggesting three 50-minute sessions a week.
“Our entire clinical team is in unanimous agreement that if these sessions are not required by the court and attendance verified once a month to ensure accountability, it is a set up for almost certain failure,” the letter read.
Richard Taite, Cliffside Malibu’s founder and CEO, suggested that Lohan’s meetings “should be done face to face while she is in town, and via Skype or phone session if she is out of town.”
