In the red carpet interview with Ryan Seacrest, the 36 year-old actress, who was suffering from laryngitis, confessed that she got the role in Diablo Cody’s new movie when she told a very dirty joke to the director Jason Reitman at an Oscars party.

“So, lesson to be learned: always tell dirty jokes. You never know when they’re gonna come in handy,” she joked. Unfortunately, Charlize lost the Golden Globe for Best Actress in Musical or Comedy to Michelle Williams (“My Week With Marilyn”).

The Evil Queen orders the bravest huntsman, Eric, to kill Snow White in order to become once again the fairest lady in the kingdom. Snow White isn’t just a helpless beauty – she is a warrior! Another interesting fact is that there will be not seven, but eight dwarves. And Prince Charmant, played by Sam Claflin, seems to work only as a secondary supporting role.

Just days after the first picture of Lily Collins as Snow White in Tandem Singh‘s version of the classic fairy tale movie were released, Twilight star Kristen Stewart‘s first photos as the princess in Rupert Sanders film are now hitting the press. The photos were released at Comic-Con 2011, where the cast, which also features Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen, Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman and Samuel Claflin as Prince Charmant, also took part in a press conference.

Stewart told reporters:

“I wasn’t initially jumping at the chance [to play Snow White] but she is one of the most heavy-handedly sincere, seriously doesn’t let her heart cloud her mind characters. Also, I get to have a sword and stuff.”

The dark reimagining of the story “features Snow White, having escaped from the Evil Queen’s imprisonment, off in the woods, being chased down by the Huntsman. He’s charged with returning just her heart, but when he can’t bring himself to kill her for it, they become partners in the fight against the queen.”

Theron chimed in as well, adding that this version of the film portrays a different side of Snow White:

“I know she’s going to give me a run for her money. And I’m ready for it bi**h, let’s go!”

Newly single Green Lantern star Ryan Reynolds has snagged himself a new woman: Oscar-winner Charlize Theron. According to a source, the two have been dating for MONTHS!

The source said Reynolds, 34, and Theron, 35, ”have been dating — for months! They’re exclusive, and it’s very hush-hush.” The two have not been photographed together as of yet, but Reynolds’ motorcycle was spotted outside Theron’s home on June 5. He was then seen leaving around 3 p.m., she followed shortly thereafter.

Theron split with her boyfriend of nine years, Stuart Townsend, in 2010. The source added that we won’t be seeing the actress on the red carpet with her new romance: “She won’t go to an event with him. That’s not her style.”

Reynolds hasn’t completely cut off communication with his famous ex, Scarlett Johansson. He was reportedly seen with her at Little Dom’s in L.A having a “cordial” dinner last weekend.

Oscar-winner Charlize Theron told Piers Morgan in an interview on CNN that marriage isn’t a priority for her. And despite her personal feelings on the subject, the actress has spoken out as a supporter of gay marriage.

“I really want for myself a long-term relationship, and I have been in long-term relationships. That’s the kind of union that I want. The actual ceremony is not something that is important to me, but I see the importance for other people.”

“I don’t … I treat my relationships like marriages, I really do.” Marriage was never something that was important [to me].”

She went on to explain that after spending a decade with actor Stuart Townsend before splitting last year, she began to see the importance of marriage to those who are denied the right:

“The two have a lot in common,” a pal of Eric’s tells Life & Style. “He’s a farmer who grows all his own vegetables, and Charlize grew up on a farm in South Africa. The two like to escape Hollywood and go to his farm in upstate New York.”

Eric is also a more mature and down to earth guy. Charlize needs someone who would be able to support her and not take the spotlight away from her. The 35 year-old actress was recently romantically linked to actor Keanu Reeves.

Actress Charlize Theron has been named a special ambassador by the United Nations (UN) to help end violence against women and children. Theron was born in South Africa and holds the cause of domestic violence very dear.

Charlize Theron has been voted the ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ by Esquire magazine. She is featured on the October 16th cover with her new title.

Charlize Theron has an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild award. Now she’s Esquire magazine’s “sexiest woman alive.”

Past winners of the title include Jessica Biel, Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson.  The issue featuring Theron hits newsstands Oct. 16.

I honestly thought Theron’s prime was about three years ago.  I am not sure who exactly deserves the award this year though.  Jessica Alba is probably deserving but not nearly as good of an actress.

What’s up with always including ‘Alive’ in the title of the award? Was there really a lot of competition from the dead this year or something?  Wouldn’t everyone assume to be the sexiest you have to be alive?
