Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green are returning to the reality competition The Voice for the fifth season, NBC has confirmed.

In spring of 2014, Shakira and Usher will return again to the show for the sixth season, with Blake Shelton and Adam Levine staying on for both the fall and spring seasons.

“We locked in a plan several months ago to have the outstanding Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green rejoin Blake and Adam for cycle five, and we’re pleased to announce that the original four coaches are going to be back together in the fall,” Paul Telegdy, president of alternative and late night programming at NBC said.

He added: “They’re the reason this show was launched so strong for the first three cycles and we owe them a debt of gratitude. And after careful consideration of everyone’s schedules for next spring, we are excited to be returning the current cycle of judges – Shakira and Usher along with Blake and Adam – for cycle six, which will premiere after the Winter Olympics.”

British boy band The Wanted performed on the NBC reality show The Voice last week, and they didn’t leave with fond feelings for judge Christina Aguilera.

During a recent radio interview, member Tom Parker, said Aguilera ”is a total b***h.” ”She might not be a b***h in real life, but to us, she was a total b***h. She just sat there and didn’t speak to us. Wouldn’t even look at us.”

“She was quite rude,” his bandmate, Siva Kaneswaran, added. “Who does that?”

The band also appeared on American Idol, and was asked to compare the two experiences. ”J. Lo’s hot, Christina’s nothing special,” member Max George said.

Don’t be hatin’ on these young successful stars because you’re not hot anymore, Christina.

The Voice judge Christina Aguilera delivered a heartfelt tribute to the legendaryEtta James with an emotional speech and a fantastic rendition of the classic “At Last” during the singer’s funeral service held at Greater Bethany Community Church City of Refuge in Gardena, CA on Saturday (January 28)- watch video below.

Christina said, ” [It is] an amazing honour for me to have been welcomed here today, invited here to pay tribute to the great Miss Etta James. It’s very emotional for me to sing today, as this has meant so much to me. She was the one that cut right through my soul. So tonight, Etta, this song is for you.”

That was a truly incredible performance by X-Tina. The 31 year-old wore the most daring plunging neckline black suit she could find, which was probably a little bit inappropriate. Too much boobs for a funeral, if you ask me. Anyhow, I don’t think anyone could have sung that song as well as Christina did.

The service was attended by 300 special guests, including Rev. Al Sharpton, who delivered the eulogy with a note from Barack Obama, and Stevie Wonder, who performed “Shelter in the Rain” before singing The Lord’s Prayer.

The 73 year-old legendary singer passed away at the age of 73 after losing her battle against leukemia on January 20, 2012. Etta is survived by her husband Artis Mills and two songs, Donto and Sametto James.

Paul Telegdy, Executive Vice President of NBC, said in a statement:

“Our fantastic coaches were integral to the tremendous success of The Voice this year and we are thrilled that they are all returning. We look forward to building season two and making The Voice an even greater experience for fans.”

A source told UsMagazine, Aguilera ”is very excited” for the next season of the show. “It has been an amazing experience for her!”

Wednesday night, the show crowned it’s very first winner. Javier Colon, Levine’s contestant, won the competition with a “staggering number of public votes.”

Yippee! I love this show. I would watch it over American Idol any day. It’s fresh, captivating, and competitive.

Christina: “I had been singing that song my entire life. I was the youngest anthem singer in my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. I sang for the “Steelers” when I was this big (as a child.)”
Ellen: “How old were you?”
Christina: “I think 7 or 8 years old. I would sing for them. I think had a moment where I was at the Super Bowl at 30 years old. I took in the moment a little bit too much. Shoot me for appreciating the moment but here I am at the Super Bowl…singing for a team and in front of the world. And remembering what it was like to be that young and look where I made it now. And then it was like, oh. That night I knew, I just made myself a Trivial Pursuit question…In 2011 what female singer, ya know, flubbed the lyrics. It’s just insane. But I have a really good laugh about it and you get over things. You get back up again and you just prove to yourself and to everyone you that much stronger.”

Christina has gained a bit of weight after her divorce from husband Jordan Bratman and has also been accused of having a bit of an alcohol problem. However, Christina recently said that she is back on her feet and getting a fresh start, starting with her career.
