‘Dancing With the Stars’ Judge Len Goodman Marries Sue Barrett

Dancing with the Stars judge Len Goodman married his longtime girlfriend, dance teacher Sue Barrett, in a surprise ceremony on Dec. 30.

The British ballroom expert, 68, and Barrett, 47, invited 30 of their closest friends to what was supposed to be a quiet lunch. Instead, the couple surprised them with a wedding ceremony.

‘I’ve had a marvelous day, and now my gorgeous Sue is the new Mrs Goodman,” Goodman told the Daily Mail. “Did I pickle my walnuts. Of course I did! I wanted it to be a low-key affair, so we didn’t tell anyone except my 96-year-old mum as I didn’t want her having a heart attack with the surprise.”

When asked if he got down on one knee to propose, he said: ”At my age, no way! I made her go four stairs above me on the staircase, so at least she was taller than me. Does that count?”

Wishing the new Mr. and Mrs. Goodman a lifetime of happiness!

‘Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars’ Cast Revealed

Rycroft, a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, came in third during the eighth season of the reality competition. She and Dovolani moved into the finals with General Hospital star, Kelly Monaco, who finished in third place, and Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson, who came in second place.

“I think you can see the affection held for this couple. This is normally where we would talk to them… but we’ll let this breathe for a moment,” host Tom Bergeron said before he presented the couple with their mirror ball trophy.

I didn’t have Melissa picked as my winner. She gorgeous, but I’ve always been adamant that the contestants shouldn’t have prior dance experience. Nonetheless, congrats to the winners!

Dancing with the Stars professional Cheryl Burke revealed to reporters backstage during taping for the show Nov. 12 that she was in the running to be the next Bachelorette on the ABC reality show.

The single 28-year-old said she had been meeting with executives to discuss appearing on the show. ”I did meet with the execs but we’ll see what happens. There hasn’t been a firm offer, but if they offer it to me I would love to do it,” she said.

“It sounds crazy, but I’m so married to my work that I rarely meet new people! I’m around the same people all the time, I’ve been on this show for nearly a decade,” Burke explained. ”Over the summer I dated a couple of guys and it turned out all bad, so I just figured if someone were to make the choice for me then maybe I’d have a better chance of meeting someone good!”

What do you think of Cheryl as the next Bachelorette? It would be a guaranteed ratings hit for ABC!

Maksim Chmerkovskiy Leaving ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Professional ballroom dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy told reporters that the upcoming 15th season of Dancing With the Stars will be his last.

“What else do I have to do there after 15 seasons?” Chmerkovskiy, 32, said. “It makes total sense. The audience can’t expect for me to want to stick around, and the producers can’t expect for me to want to stick around.”

Hope Solo Claims Maksim Chmerkovskiy Slapped Her in New Book

The Ukrainian-born dancer has landed his first leading role in a feature film, which begins shooting in January. ”Essentially, 80% of our job is to give somebody another push in their career,” he explained. “I loved doing it. But to be honest with you, at 32, I am at what-about-me time.”

And despite his hot temper with the judges of the show, Chmerkovskiy said he wishes nothing but the best for the ABC competition. ”I wish [the show] the next 50 years of success. But I have to do something else. I need to move on for me.”

Hope Solo Claims Maksim Chmerkovskiy Slapped Her in New Book

Olympic soccer player Hope Solo has made a serious accusation against her former Dancing With the Stars partner Maksim Chemerkovskiy in her new book, in which she claims the professional dancer slapped her during rehearsals.

“He manhandled me in rehearsals from the start, pushing me, whacking my stomach, bending my arms roughly,” the soccer player, 31, writes in Solo: A Memoir of Hope.

‘DWTS’ Crew Upset with Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s Bad Attitude

“I thought that was just how it went – how dancers worked with each other. But it kept getting worse. … One day, Maks was trying to put me in a certain position and hit my stomach so hard with his open palm that I had a red handprint there for the rest of the day.”

Solo went on to claim that one day Chmerkovskiy slapped her across the face. ”He wanted my head in a specific position. To achieve that, he slapped me across the face. Hard,” she adds.

The goalie was offered another partner by ABC, but declined because she reportedly didn’t want to end her partner’s career.

Chmerkovskiy, 32, has yet to comment publicly on the book, but did take to his Twitter on Thursday to post this message: ”Always hated hypocrites and liars … but when someone is both AND an opportunist, I just feel bad for them. Can’t win at someone’s expense …”

ABC has not commented on the allegations. Chermkovskiy’s rep had no comment.

I think this is a publicity stunt. Solo can’t seem to stay out of the news for five minutes.

DWTS Couple: Maksim Chmerkovskiy & Peta Murgatroyd Smooch

Dancing With The Stars pro dancers, Peta Murgatroyd, who led Donald Driver to the mirror ball trophy this season, and Maksim Chmerkovksiy, were caught kissing at the Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas, Nevada over the Memorial Day weekend.

Hot new couple alert! If Peta can go past Maksim’s cocky attitude, they could very well become DWTS hottest couple – a title that was once held by Maksim himself and former girlfriend/fiancée Karina Smirnoff, who is also a dancer on the ABC hit show.

In spite of being caught together on several occasions in the past month, both Maksim and Peta refuse to comment on the nature of their relationship. When questioned at the opening of Maksim’s, brother Val Chmerkovskiy’s and Tony Dovolani’s Dance With Me studio, here’s what they had to say:

“I’m here to support Maksim,” was all Peta would say.

“I try to keep certain things private just because – what’s the politically correct way of saying it? It’s none of anybody’s business,” he said. “It’s very intimate and personal.”

“None of anybody’s business,” he says. Ah, Maksim! Always a gentleman. This guy seriously has a way with words. Anyhow, we wish Maksim and Peta live happily ever after!
