Who Was Eliminated On Dancing With The Stars Week 7? Another double elimination week started with a shocking surprise when Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff were placed in the bottom three, despite scoring 29 off 30 in their solo performance on Monday, and were forced to go through the dance off against Mark Dacascos and his partner Lacey Schwimmer.

The first couple to say goodbye to the competition was Michael Irvin and his partner Anna Demidova and after a nerve-wracking dance-off Aaron was saved by the judges, which means Mark Dacascos was eliminated.

Karina had to speak up for her partner since he was completely shocked with the results (Yep! Not everyone loves you, Aaron!) and revealed how she kept Aaron focused. “I didn’t let Aaron watch Mark’s dance or listen to what the judges said,” she explained. “Because I don’t want anything else going through his head.”

Dancing With The Stars Scoreboard (Week 7):

  • Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough: 55

Who Was Eliminated On Dancing With The Stars Week 6?? The first pair to be eliminated was Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Ballas, who failed to impress with their performance of the waltz and group mambo, getting the lowest amount of votes from the public. Then, the judges had to choose between Michael Irvin and Louie Vito for the second elimination and Louie Vito and his professional partner Chelsie Hightower were voted off the competition.

Melissa, whose performance this week was affected by a flu bug, was disappointed with the results last night (October 27) because she had made a special promise to her son. Melissa said, “I promised my three-year-old [son] I was going to be dancing to the song “Bare Necessities” [from Disney's The Jungle Book] next week, and that’s not going to happen, so that’s a bummer. But I get to go back home to them!”

Dancing With The Stars Scoreboard (Week 6):

  • Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough: 36
  • Mya and Dmitry Chaplin: 35
  • Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff: 33

Kelly Osbourne, one of our favorite celebrity dancers, injured her foot during her paso doble performance on Monday (photos and video) but, fortunately, it’s apparently just a sprained ankle. The highlight of the show was the Michael Jackson tribute (watch video here).

Dancing With The Stars presented a special dance routine in honor of the late Michael Jackson to the sound of some of his biggest hits (”I Want You Back,” “Man In The Mirror” and “Thriller”) on the results show Tuesday (October 20).

Michael’s mother Katherine Jackson and siblings LaToya Jackson and Jermaine Jackson appeared on the show but it was LaToya who took the stage to introduce the fantastic performance (watch video below).

LaToya said Michael had told her that when he danced, “he felt like he’d been touched by something sacred. … As a fan of all types of dancing, he would be most proud that these talented [pros] share his enthusiasm for the dance.”

Dancing With The Stars Mark Balls and former American Idol contestant Joanna Pacitti have been dating for over a year and marriage is certainly in their future but they want to wait for the right time to take the big step.

Mark and Joanna have the passion for music, art and dance in common. The 25 year-old aspiring singer (photos and videos) confessed she would love to be on DWTS but only if Mark was her partner.

“I would love to do it,” Joanna said. “I love watching him. It brings the biggest smile to my face, so I can’t imagine how happy I’d be dancing with him.”

“She’d be very, very good,” Mark said. “We’d have a really good time. We were actually doing the waltz in our living room last night.”

Joanna added, “I’d have to be partners with Mark. I don’t think I could dance with anyone else.”

Joanna was dropped from the American Idol for being ineligible to continue in the competition because she had had previous record deals and reportedly knew executives at 19 Entertainment, one of the companies involved with the show.

UPDATE: Dancing With The Stars Week 3 Results: Who Was Eliminated?

Republican congressman Tom Delay is expected to announce his retirement from the competition due to stress fractures in both of his feet on tonight’s Dancing With The Stars results show (Tuesday, October 6).

The 62 year-old contestant has been in pain since he started training with his partner Cheryl Burke and before DWTS season premiere. “They put me in Latin shoes with high heels, and my toes almost fell off the first week,” DeLay told me at the time. “So I went to a podiatrist, and I got a little problem with my feet. A cortisone shot cured me up.”

Tom, who bravely danced the samba this week (watch video below), is another victim of the Dancing With The Stars curse that has struck stars like Jewel, Nancy O’Dell and Misty May-Treanor. The question is: will Cheryl be able to get a new partner and continue on the competition?

“There is so much to take away from this experience. I wouldn’t change a moment of it.” said the 46-year-old Kathy Ireland. “The fact that I got to learn how to dance from (pro partner and) world champion Tony Dovolani, it’s been so much fun — the entire experience.”

Also in the bottom three were Louie Vito and Chelsie Hightower, and Debi Mazar and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Aaron Carter and Mya were the top two celebrity performances of the week with a score of 27 out of 30. The show included performances by Joss Stone, Selena Gomez and the USC Marching Band.

Karina Smirnoff Nude Peta Ad: ‘I’d Rather Dance Naked’

karina-smirnoff-nude-peta-photos

Dancing With The Stars Karina Smirnoff stripped off her clothes and shows off her perfectly toned dancer’s body for a new PETA ad with the slogan “I’d Rather Dance Naked Than Wear Fur”.

Karina, who was photographed by Robert Sebree, confessed she actually stopped wearing fur when she first saw a cruel video of baby seals being brutally killed for their skin (watch Karina’s PETA video below).

“I did wear fur,” she says, “especially when I was little. But there are ways of being warm and being fashionable without being cruel.”

Says Karina: “You have a choice as an individual, you have a choice in the press, in the world, whether to make a statement that you do support killing animals or make a statement when you don’t. And you can still be as chic as you can possibly want to be.”

Yes, it is possible to be chic without wearing fur. I don’t think a woman wearing fur is attractive at all and as the DWTS beauty said there are other ways to stay warm. But Karina looks absolutely amazing in her own ‘fur’.

Who Was Eliminated On Dancing With The Stars Week 1??

Actor Patrick Swayze, who recently passed away after a long battle against pancreatic cancer, was honored on Dancing With The Stars season 9 premiere week with a dancing tribute made by the DWTS professional dancers.

The tribute started out with Chelsie Hightower and Dmitry Chaplin breezing through Swayze’s own “She’s Like the Wind” from “Dirty Dancing,” and then real-life husband and wife Jonathan Roberts and Anna Trebunskaya performed a romantic duet to “Unchained Melody” from “Ghost.” But the real clincher was the final “Dirty Dancing” routine, set to “Time of My Life,” with Cheryl Burke playing the part of Baby, and Tony Dovolani as Johnny Castle.

The tribute was amazing, fantastic and a bit emotional. Who didn’t remember Patrick’s extraordinaire performance on the movie ‘Dirty Dancing’? R.I.P. Patrick Swayze

UPDATE: Dancing With The Stars Results Week 1: Who Was Eliminated?

Reality star Kelly Osbourne made her Dancing With The Stars debut with an elegant and feminine performance of the Viennese Waltz (watch video below) on Tuesday (September 22).

At the end of her performance, Kelly said “It was the most fun I ever had,” and emotionally kissed and hugged her parents, Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne, who were in the audience cheering for their princess. It was an amazing performance by Kelly that will most likely make her a fan favorite because she is kind of an underdog.

UPDATE: Dancing With The Stars Results Week 1: Who Was Eliminated?

Singer/songwriter Macy Gray made her Dancing With The Stars debut with a very clumsy Viennese waltz (watch video below) on Tuesday (September 22). The judges actually loved Macy’s own peculiar bizarre genuine performance… Here is what the judges had to say:

Carrie Ann Inaba said: “Wow. OK, Macy, that was fascinating. There is something fascinating to watch about you. … Your technique? I can’t even go there…”

Then Len Goodman said: “There’s a vulnerability about you and a charm. I can only say this, if I was at home I would be voting for you.”

Bruno Tonioli: “Macy, you are endearing. It was like watching a child takes its first steps in a scary new world…”

So what did Macy Gray say? In the interview with Samantha Harris, Macy was asked about what was harder dancing or singing and that was when the eccentric singer dropped an F-bomb. Macy mumbled something like “I feel like I finally busted my cherry” but with an F-bomb included somewhere.

Mya Dancing With The Stars Curse

Singer Mya cut her foot on a piece of broken glass during rehearsals for Dancing With The Stars and was taken to the hospital to receive treatment on Sunday (September 20). The singer, who has been partnered with Dmitri Chaplin, is one of the favorites to win this season.

The 29 year-old is the latest victim of the Dancing With The Stars curse that struck down other stars like singer Jewel, who fractured a tibia in rehearsals before the show aired, and actor Gilles Marini, who is still recovering from a surgical procedure after separating his shoulder practicing his dance moves.

Mya wants to continue dancing and says this incident won’t keep her from doing her best and dancing her booty off. Mya tweeted, “Went2the hospital late last night2get stitches. Deep cut from glass. Only caught 2hours of sleep but feel great. Must be adrenaline. Nothing to worry about. Just an ugly slice on my finger-not the first time I’ve had stitches. I’ll be just fine. Thanks4the concern.”

ESPN’s Erin Andrews Could Be ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Will Erin Andrews Be 'Dancing With the Stars'

Backseat Cuddler is reporting that there is a strong possibility that Erin Andrews will be a contestant on the next season of Dancing With the Stars.

The added fame, especially if she won, would propel her nationally, outside of the sports world, and probably onto bigger and better things.

Andrews thinks she would do great on the show and is not short on confidence.  She is likely a better dancer than she is sideline reporter.  She has a lot of dance experience and believes she would do really well on the show..

“I want to do it, because I think I’d be good at it,” Andrews told The Sporting News. “I love the show, and I’ve grown up around dancing… I think I’d be in the top, unless I fall. I’m a big faller. If you fall, that’s a hard fall, which I’m sure would make the Internet very happy.”

Erin is a University of Florida graduate and has been prancing on the sidelines for ESPN since 2004.  She was a member of the Gators dance team from 1997-2000.  Her younger sister, Kendra, is a professional dancer and graduate of Florida State University.

Other ESPN and sports personalities to appear on DWTS include Kenny Mayne, Evander Holyfield, Jerry Rice (runner-up), Clyde Drexler, Laila Ali, Apolo Anton Ohno (winner), Emmitt Smith (winner), Floyd Mayweather Jr., Helio Castroneves, Monica Seles, Jason Taylor (runner-up), Misty May-Treanor, Maurice Greene, Warren Sapp (runner-up), Lawrence Taylor, Ty Murray, and Shawn Johnson (winner).

Andrews has been named by Playboy as the ‘Sexiest Sportscaters in America’ for the past two years.
