Hayley Hasselhoff has been formally charged with a DUI after being arrested under the suspicion of drinking and driving in late December.

The 20-year-old  is the daughter of famous Baywatch actor David Hasselhoff, who has had a public problem with drinking himself. Her mother, Pamela Bach, was arrested twice for DUI in 2009 and 2010.

Hasselhoff faces up to six months in jail if convicted. A source claims that she is planning to fight the charges.

The twelve fabulous new celebrity dancers and their professional dance partners rocked and heated up the dance floor on the eleventh season premiere of Dancing With The Stars on Monday (September 20). David Hasselhoff and his partner Kym Johnson closed the show with a memorable Cha Cha to the sound of Tom Jones’ “Sex Bomb” (watch video below).

As we first reported “Deal Or No Deal” host Howie Madel will replace David Hasselhoff, whose contact was not renewed due to his alcoholism problem, as a judge in the popular talent show “America’s Got Talent”. NBC confirmed on Sunday (January 10) that Howie will join returning hosts Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan.

Former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff, who has reportedly been “secretly” struggling with his alcohol addiction for years, has announced he will be leaving “America’s Got Talent” after four long years as a judge alongside Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan.

David said in a statement, “I am proud that I was part of making America’s Got Talent the No. 1 rated show for the past four summers. It’s been a rewarding experience and now I’m thrilled to be able to follow my dream to do my own TV show, which will be announced very shortly. I want to thank my friend, (executive producer) Simon Cowell, and everyone at NBC and Fremantle for the opportunity for four great years.”

David is pursuing his dream to final get his own show but exactly what type of show?? We have no clue!! “Deal Or No Deal” host Howie Mandel is rumored to be replacing David as a judge, but it is still not official. NBC wishes David good luck in a statement: “David’s been an integral part of the success of America’s Got Talent and we are sad to see him go. We wish him all the best with his new show.”

UPDATE: The Sun is reporting, David has been dismissed from the show due to his recent very public issues with alcohol. David wasn’t exactly fired but his contract is simply not being renewed. A source says, “David has been in the papers a lot for his drunken behavior and he doesn’t seem to want to clean up his act. He was absolutely devastated at the news. The show provided the majority of his income.”

David Hasselhoff’s ex-wife Pamela Bach was arrested for DUI after taking a breathalyzer test on Saturday night (November 28). Pamela has been released on a $15,000 bail and she promised to attend an AA meeting on Sunday (Nov 29).

Pamela told TMZ, “I am remorseful and mortified. I am going through a really difficult time between David being in the hospital and dealing with the divorce.” Pamela confessed she tried to comfort her daughters after their father’s hospitalization (read more details) and she ended up having a few drinks later during dinner.

Actor David Hasselhoff was hospitalized and kept in an involuntary psychiatric hold (5150 and 5151) at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after having an alleged alcohol-related seizure on Friday (November 27).

UPDATE: David Hasselhoff’s Ex- Wife Pamela Bach Arrested For DUI

“Paramedics were called to the (address omitted) in Encino for medical aid,” Los Angeles City Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott told RadarOnline.com. “Paramedics arrived at approximately 11:51 am and later transported the patient a nearby hospital.”

“I asked one of the paramedics how David was doing and he told me his eyes were rolling back into his head, he was drooling and that he’d had a seizure.” Unfortunately, neighbor Christian said, “this isn’t the first time this has happened to him.”

David has reportedly been released after 48 hours. The 57 year-old actor continues to struggle with an alcohol addiction that has been covered up by his PR and legal team. This was not the first time his daughter, Hayley Hasselhoff (photos), had to call 911 to rescue her father. The same thing happened in two different occasions this year.

Hayley Hasselhoff, the 17 year-old daughter of actor David Hasselhoff, reportedly found her daddy completely drunk at the family’s home in Encino, California. Hayley called her mom Pamela Bach, who called the paramedics that arrived at about 3:24 PM on Sunday (September 20).

David was taken to the hospital and is currently being treated for alcohol poisoning. Ironically, a similar incident happened a few months ago in May 2009. This time the actor’s rep has no comment.

David Hasselhoff’s 16 year-old daughter Hayley found her dad unconscious on the floor of his home in California, immediately called her mom Pamela Bach, who then drove him to Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical center on Saturday, according to RadarOnline.

A source said a frightened Hayley kept “slapping her dad’s face” to keep him alive. “He was barely breathing when they got him at the hospital.

“He’s recovering. Pam was his bedside till 4a.m. this morning. This is about the 7th time he’s been taken to a hospital over the last few years with alcohol poisoning. How many visits will it take before he dies?”

Reportedly David had been hospitalized before due to alcohol poisoning. David Hasselhoff’s lawyer denies this story and threatens to take his ex-wife to court. Pamela was “in violation of the court’s order precluding contacting the media regarding her ex husband.”

According to TMZ, David was celebrating his father’s 80th birthday with his girlfriend Kimberly, he got drunk but he is recovery at home.
